We started a 6th rnd pick at lb. BH found another gem!

    Clintoniumer

Really wish both of his 2nd rounders could get on the field though man. Love rodrigo though

    ThaGreat One313

That’s greatness to come man, I love the passion and teamwork and they really believe

Bryan Smith

My main disappointment was the lack of coordinated TD celebrations between the RBs and the OL. You knew you would be running into the endzone with some big ugly sooner rather than later. Let Penei and Jonah join in! They paved they way

Disabled Weightlifting

Goff’s 3 & Outs killed Detroit’s defense! His pick 6 didn’t help either.

    bryan c

Not just Goff. The receivers dropped a lot of passes that hit their hands. Even st brown had 2 drops.

    shadybrain3424

seemed like the receivers and goff werent on the same page at the start, but got it together in the second half.

    mschrad2

Hock went inside instead of outside, not on same page!

kryer981

We need to use those first-round picks next year on a defensive tackle and a linebacker.

    ThaGreat One313

They will and they’ll get more players that want to come in as well

Tim Stort

Will Harris sorry just needs to go, at this point he’s a risk for this defense

    shadybrain3424

its one play in game one, that’s a bit dramatic. like twentyman said, jalen ramsay got got on a long pass, sometimes it happens even to the best of us. if it becomes a trend though i agree. other than that i thought we defended the pass well, just gotta protect the run better.

    Itinerant Patriot

@shadybrain3424 I respectfully disagree. It’s not just one play in one game. Harris has been getting beat since he came into the league. Everyone talked about his athleticism but he’s never lived up to the hype. It was time to move on from him last year.

Itinerant Patriot

Nice to see Swift have a good game. Goff is…well Goff. The defense needs more than a bit of cleanup but everyone knows that. Except maybe the GM who has a thing for drafting injured players. This team has far too many issues to take as many flyers as they do on guys early in the draft. That said, I think they should win next week and they should beat the Seahawks in week four. Beyond that…I’m sticking with six wins this season. Maybe they prove me wrong, it would be nice, but I didn’t see anything today that makes me think otherwise.

Oh well, like the man said, on to Washington.

MMS1346

Goff had a mediocre game for him, but he picked it up in the 2nd half and the 6 drops hurt a lot. Anyway this game isn’t on the offense – they scored 35 points, more than any other offense this week in the NFL. But the D needs major adjustments.

    J Hoyt

I really don’t think defense needs that much of an adjustment. The scheme needed help for a running QB they had phili third and long a ton and held their WR2 to 0 receptions. 14 points came from pick 6 and short field after failed onside kick. Tracy walker was A1, okudah was pretty good, Bryant had some good plays rodriguez had some great stops toward end of the game against a good phili team that has two good WR’s and one of the best running offenses.

Gregory Campbell

Tough loss today but I’m sure coach will rally the troops and have the guys ready to play and win next game. Just got a few loose ends to tie up.

Lyle Schull

Of all the hype eagles defense scoring 35 is not all that bad

Justin B

Defense is what it is , you knew that ! My concern is the conservative offense play calling in the first half! Unacceptable! This offense can go , so let them RIP!!

Mark Mohr

A young team that will only get better. Stop blaming Goff. It takes a team to win from the coaches to the players.

Kee Ozzie

No need to hang your head if you’re a Lions fan.. based off the expectations we have going into this season for our team, vs who we played in the Eagles and the expectations that they have for their team surrounding them as a ‘low-key Super Bowl contender,’☝️ under the circumstances of not being fully healthy☝️ AND making some bad decisions, I think the Lions have a lot more to gain out of this type of game more so than the Eagles did of dodging a bullet! imo🤷.. I mean we scored 35 points against a team that’s supposed to have one of the best defenses in the league!.. and you really can’t be too upset for them scoring 38 on us because they were a team who supposed to have one of the better offenses in the league as well.. it’s just hard for us to dissect it because we know OUR Lions and the past that we had.. but if you think about this logically in the totality of the overall picture the Lions played one HELL of a game against a championship caliber team and they’re not even going to be as good as they’re going to be as the season goes along..

    Well said

    Adam B34

You have quite the imagination there kiddo

WoPSideD Production

Glad we got Trayvon !😂

Ronald Sweet

Don’t throw a pick 6 and it’s a win.

Phillip Cuchetti

Goff showed toughness , leadership and smarts . Get off his back .

Phillip Cuchetti

Something that’s disappointing across the league . A guy runs out of bounds to avoid a hit . Hit the guy , gain a few more yards , let ‘em know we ain’t going to let you off easy . Hit hit hit .

ART MCPHARLIN

What is it with the hugh hand held microphone?? They seem out dated while the LIONS seem a team most NFL teams will prepare extra for. Hutch will prove to be a #2 GREAT NFL player with a long and successful career. GO ! Divine Child/Michigan foundations for learning Pro football skills.

Corey Patterson

Wasn’t goff in this game except the pick but I blame him when needed! He gotta get his accuracy right

J Hoyt

14 points were pick 6 and short field on a failed onside, malcolm had some great stops toward the end of the game, goff looked decent from middle to end of game, receiver core was definitely better, okudah looked good for most part his tackling was awesome, swift and Jamal look like an incredible duo and Tracy walker was A1. Hopefully everything stays on track and they tighten the rest up
