@DVC SD The biggest move that people need to keep in mind is that cutting Bryan Bulaga gives us an extra $10M in cap space for 2022. While I and a lot of fans liked the signing initially, no one can deny that Bulaga’s injury risk at this point is too great for us to keep him on the team.
That would be horrific. Team need to Focus on the Front 7 while getting a corner, not spending 35 Million on two defensive backs while we have James
They already have Derwin James. They don’t need another star safety. Corner is a bigger issue than safety

@Labcabinsandiego going for it on 4th down wasn’t the problem. It was also a necessity at times because we don’t have a reliable kicker and our punter can’t pin them back. Special teams was horrible as well as defense

Staley is more genuine than Tolesco. Great insight
It’s the nature of their positions. HCs need to excel at connecting and communicating. GMs need to excel at not showing your cards.
Get some more protection for Herbert on oline.
And fix the defense line they can’t stop the run now. I’m really excited for this season

I just want so badly to enjoy this team but I always am wary of the disappointments of the past. I want them to become a winning program and I want to believe in Coach Staley. Please do not mess up Justin Herbert.

As a chargers fan I’m excited I don’t mind going for it on 4th down but not on our own 18 yard line just want Staley to play risky but not dumb

I was pretty down on Coach for a few days cause he outcoached himself and cost the bolts a playoff spot.
last season is gone and I still believe in Coach Staley to grown from his mistakes because he wants to win.
our offense was everything but stagnant pretty much every game.
however, not gonna get far if scat backs can run for 175 on us at will.
its a proven fact that defense wins championships.
Some of those decisions he made during the season won them games too. I agree he wasn’t always right, but I’d rather have a coach who is going to lose aggressively vs passively. He goes down swinging. I feel like we owe him one more chance to embrace this mentality
I love Staley and love his aggressiveness. Last season wasnt perfect, but it was his first year and I understand that completely. That said, as supportive as I sound, you should see how many people jump on me and call me names if I question his Defensive Genius in any way. This is the weirdest fandom Ive ever been a part of…sports or otherwise. Say what you will about Game of Thrones fans, but they didnt make you like every episode of the show to be a fan in good standing. It’s strange that this would be a fandom with ONE WAY to be a fan, since it’s the fandom that’s never won a Big One. They dont even know the way to winning, but they insist that you support their way regardless. I dont care about analytics or coaching bloodlines. I like an aggressive coach who leads with his heart, trusts in his men, and leaves it all on the field. Staley IS that guy.
Coach Staley knows exactly what he needs to build a championship team, Telesco just needs to do his part
