Team needs a MLB that can step up and fill the gap along with studying opposing plays and formations. Long time Charger fans has notice a lack of focus on those points of the MLBs we have now for all you need is that ideal type of MLB for the others to make the tackle. KMurray or K9 has shown nothing but a Chihuahua type of mind frame. It is his contract year 2022 so maybe he starts being on top of his job, done nothing yet but be hurt. Through FA of signing one legit Veteran MLB wont hurt thou. Besides that, team needs a new squad of Back Ups for Chargers has the worst squad of groups and the stats and film shows. It has been the reasons why the last few years the team over work the Stars on the team via Joey Bosa and we must protect JHerb from being over used time and time again JHerb HAS COME THRU and team still lose due to that crew..
This upcoming season has to be a make or break year for Tom. He’s been there almost 10 years with very little to show for it. With all of the cap space available, free agent players available, the draft, and possible trades there should be no more excuses. Especially with Herb behind center! At what point do you even consider extending his contract because the price tag is only increasing. Everyone knows that our Defense overall was the reason for not advancing last year and it was crushing to see the team choke at the end. That head scratching loss to HOU was not only embarrassing but unacceptable. I’ve been a fan since 1982, have endured so many gut wrenching losses, a few bright years, season ticket holder in SD from 04-11, traveled to about 15 different cities ( road games ) to watch our Bolts and forever hopeful. This team is close, very close, can’t wait to see what this off season holds and where the 22 season takes them. Just have to trust the process and expect a winning team that makes a strong playoff/ Super Bowl push….BOLT UP!
@SD Fishin ive been one of the few who have defending Telesco but even I can admit that TT philosophy building a team through the draft hasnt been doing well. teams that have gone to the SB or playoffs were teams who have been aggressive in FA. hopefully Herbert has change TT philosophy because they went aggressive to fix the Oline
@H H4 Funny thing is, The Bengals owner is even cheaper and his team went to the SB this year while Herbert was watching the playoffs on TV. The GM is the main culprit and Tom “The Bum” knows that a talent like Herbert will only expose him more, the way he exposed Lynn. I dunno why the press is not all over TT’s terrible resume, is he bribing them? Can anybody imagine a GM with Telesco’s record still hired in a franchise like the Niners or the Steelers? Even the Faiders would have been up in arms at least 5 years ago.

Talesco definitely has to change that no urgency mentality it will not acceptable anymore we need no guys no glory type of mentality now especially with Herbert like u mentioned good points now I truly believe and feel it soon I’ve been a fan since late 90’s and I want this team to be recognized as a Super Bowl winning franchise and will root them on regardless of the situation but we need to win it 🏆

I love Derwin James on the Chargers and he’s the best safety in the NFL on Defense
Him acknowledging the fact that he and Brandon will be making big strides on defense within the draft and moves in FA makes me feel a bit more like we can breath. I know Staleys passion will drive a want to win mentality in the office. I hope he gets aggressive
Staley and TT were super aggressive with fixing the OL last year. My belief (or hope) is that they take a similar approach on defense, specifically the DL.

When Donald Parham wasn’t on the field, Herbert had a noticeable difference in who he targeted. Herbie would throw the ball all over which opened up so many guys due to having Parham out there. When he went down that condensed even further.
Parham is a Huge target and began to really make an impact every game. I’d bring him back along with Stephen Anderson who also showed he is a threat both as a FB and a TE.
Parham is NOT that good sir he wasn’t even better than Cook.
