What is The Concern for the Packers after Week 1 Loss to Vikings? – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Superintendent Chalmers

the Packers do this every year by just getting destroyed in week 1… however idk how this year will go without Davante… offence has to pick it up

    RD

No they don’t, only 2 years ago the packers played the Vikings week 1 and dominated them

    Bobbie Grace

@Sjxucne shxu I agree with you on Rodgers spreading the football around and he can make weapons from any player

    DiamondBabaPro

@Sjxucne shxu wdym the past 2 years have been the only years yall have lost week 1

    Sjxucne shxu

@DiamondBabaPro that what I said I correct my self but we only scored 10 points against the bears I forgot we somehow won that game

Ted Cox

As a Packers fan it was a tough loss but it’s only week 1 have to get Rookie WR’s feet wet & no Lazard didn’t help .

All very beautiful. But first together the numbers 10 and 1. One needFriend.OnLine brunette and another blonde.

this!! its literally week 1 and people are freaking out.. plus vikings aren’t a bad team.. our playcalling on offense and defense was quite bad too

    Quiet Englishman

I’m thinking about New Orleans last year and how the ship was righted afterwards but this was a numbing experience. If they lose to the Bears then things will get very serious.

    GioTheBullsFan21

Packers be acting like Lazard a top reciver in the league💀

    Ted Cox

@GioTheBullsFan21 Top WR potential, I expect Lazard to take the next step.

John Wick

That first pass Rodgers made when the receiver dropped it set the tone for the rest of the game .😭😭

@Kainteeka they are bad at game ones because they were beat badly two years in a row?

    Cole Schmidt

    Agreed bro

    Seymour Butts

but coach the receiver dropped the ball on the first pass of the game

Shinks87

Every time something goes wrong, Green Bay retreats EVERY TIME! It’s time that we need to take risks and punch back! We aren’t going to survive this season if we just sit back and not do something.

    24SEVEN 365

It is only the first game. Lol. The thing that seems a little off might be chemistry though which could get worse or blow up at any time. Then it will be clean house and start over.

Axt3r

They should’ve mentioned that after the 1st play being a drop by Watson, the 2nd play was a wrong route ran by Doubs, the other rookie WR. It was even more perfect than they said

    Were it so Easy

I believe rodgers said he threw it “away, behind me”

Not true A12 threw the ball away

Quann ThaGreat

As a die hard packers fan, this is Ridiculous

BMcMinn88

Jaire supposedly one of the best in the league and we have rookie Lbs covering Jefferson…..that defensive scheme was a complete joke

    bobby boucher

jefferson can run routes from x, y, or z you can’t just say jaire travel every single snap

    SaltyJordy

@bobby boucher we have 3 great corners. I’ll take Rasul, Stokes, and Jaire in man coverage ANYDAY besides Jefferson finding holes in zone. The gameplan was pathetic

GoofDog

I think the concern is that the Packers have the Vikings in their division. Lambeau going to be a dance floor this New Years Dave with JJ leading the griddy.

Anthony Wutkowski

Rodgers and the receivers need to spend some overtime in practices. So trust can be built up.

    DOC Sylva

No. The packers don’t have a leader/mentor that actually let his play be the example. They need to get one

Timothy Coleman

It didn’t help they kept Jaire in zone when he should’ve been manning Jefferson

    Jaygo Sev

Would not have made any diff

    Allstar Elite

    @Jaygo Sev yup

BigDick SmallBalls

There shouldn’t be any worry. This was a road trip divisional game for the packers and they made more mistakes. Vikings played an incredibly clean game. No cause for concern just a very tough divisional game.

Chris Cruse

This Packers team is not the same team from last year. The way Packers played in week 1 is exactly how I thought they were going to play.

L Georgell

To set the record straight: Since 2008 (Rodgers first full season) Packers are 10-5 in season openers and 2-1 against the vikings during those games including last night. Prior to the atrocious loss to the Saints last year, Packers won six straight season openers from 2015-2020 (including a 43-34 Win over Minnesota at Minnesota in 2020). So yes, last two years are not common.

However, Lets not overreact to the Packers being dead, Vikings being a lock on division winners, nor Mr. Griddy getting MVP (which may all happen, time will tell).
Lets also not ignore the issues with Packers O-Line, Lack of connection with Rodgers and WRs, and bad matchups/playcalling on D.

Lafleur said energy of Packers was weak when giving halftime interview and that is what I noticed as well.
Hearing HC say that is what is concerning. Rodgers looked angry all game and I’m sure its tough to be on a team with such a great player that had such high demands/expectations.
Not trying to put the low energy of the team on Rodgers, but one of the veteran leaders (maybe someone on D) needs to be able to turn the energy of the team around and it seems like he gets too into his head or himself to help his team when needed.
I liken this to what most of Vikings are saying about M Zimmer toxic coaching and how everyone hating being there.

Vikings look fresh with new HC, but Rodgers still owns the Bears so it will be a good week 2 for him to develop some chemistry with WR and get the Offensive into some rhythm.

You’re the realest Pack fan I’ve ever seen. As a Vikes fan, you’ve got my respect. Wishing you luck against the Bears.

    SKOL and Go Pack Go.

Tashon Mazique

Y’all act like cousins threw for 350+ and 4 TDs most of those yards came from the first half to Jefferson being open but what happened in the second half kicked 2 field goals that’s it was it a mistake for them to put anybody but jaire on Jefferson in the first half yeah but that’s what week 1 is all about mistakes that you come back from

    iz thefaithful

Bro they had they’re way and Jaire ain’t covering JJ 😭

MrLilTay

Hurts so much how much Rodgers truly has owned my team… and yeah they pretty much have owned the NFC North. Just hope we can shock the league this next week in primetime.

CJ Hill

The Packers secondary is very strong they have three great corners in Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Rasual Douglas and the safeties are also very good. However, Joe Barry’s defensive gameplan was terrible he was playing zone coverage and had linebackers covering Justin Jefferson. Joe Barry needs to do a better job of gameplanning.

Sam Wilcox

So when do we get to talk about the amazing performance by the Vikings instead of this constant conversation about the Packers?

Rosco Jones

Problem: Aaron doesn’t trust his receivers. He dumped the ball to Jones/Dillon all game
