The Cowboys with Jones at the handle will never be a winner again. Sorry to hear about Dak but he has never proven to be a winner. Jones never knows when to stop letting good players go. I wouldn’t say it’s over because I don’t think any team in this division will excel. Daniel Jones stinks. Jalen Hurts is a hype train. Terrible passer. As a lifelong Cowboys fan Dak should have been cut after his injury when he bet on himself, businessman Jerry of the 90s would have cut him in a flash. Now we have Grandpa Jerry who wants to just hand out checks he feels sorry for. That is overpaid, overrated, and is a third string quarterback at best

This is on them. The Dak injury is a microcosm of their stubbornness to not give him help during the off-season.
This is the Jones’ long standing strategy. Slightly overpay the starters and compensate spending with budget backups.
Not to mention that jerry didn’t address on getting a quality back up qb in case if this would ever happen cuz both rush and grier played terrible in the preseason.

Just look at how franchises like the Saints or Rams manage their cap space and compare it to the Cowboys. They somehow get surprised by Coopers contract and need to perform a fire sale before his guarantees would have kicked in. There is so little foresight in how they mange their roster, it’s insane!
