Ppl forget Mason ran a RPO type offense in college 👏🏻

    Perry Ellis

And it was a high scoring machine in college at Oklahoma state

    RN- Susan

Thank you. I’ve been saying this for years of everyone bashing the poor kid

    Perry Ellis

Well if history repeats itself Mason Rudolph is about to become a prolific QB and Superbowl champion with the Steelers. Go look back at Terry Bradshaw career, the Steelers fans hated him in his first four years and then he win the Superbowl and everything changed. Mason is in the best possible position to be great. And I’m saying he will be

    Joshua F

@Perry Ellis your really comparing Rudolph to Bradshaw? My god man

    Perry Ellis

    @Joshua F yes

2SS/RS

I’m not a Mason Rudolph fan by any means but he deserves 1yr as the starter to see what he can do because we need to draft O LINE WITH THE FIRST 2 PICKS

Tru Spirit

He will be fine with a run game and smart situational play calling….the play caller Canada is going to be the problem.

Mind Business

You have my support Mason. Good luck and work hard this off-season. It’s not all on the QB. Ben threw for 5000+ yards a few years ago and we failed to make it to the playoffs. Control what you can control. Mobile QBs are a plus, but obviously NOT required… Ask TB12. Brady is the LEAST mobile QB in the league, yet the most decorated. Offensive Line is where the team needs to spend its money. NOT saying that Mason is Rogers, but his situation is much like that of Aaron and Steve Young…just waiting for legends like Roethlisberger, Favre, and Montana to retire. That has got to be a weird feeling going into the season knowing you will only get to play if the starter is injured because obviously the Steelers were in situations were he should have came in to relieve Ben if nothing more than to protect Ben.

    Mind Business

    @Alex Correa Kick rocks.

    Mind Business

Aaron played behind Brett for 3-years until Brett decided to “Retire.” Kinda like how Jordan Love is going to be behind Aaron waiting for his shot at fame.

    Mind Business

@The Last Saint That was my point.

Great O-Line = Mobility is optional

Terrible O-Line = Mobility is NOT optional

However, don’t confuse the word mobile with athletic. Not every QB can throw accurately while on the run.

    Alex Correa

@Mind Business that was a cool saying 20 years ago

    Mind Business

@Alex Correa It wasn’t meant to be cool. Message sent. Message received. Have a great day.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mason last year at a local mall in Pittsburgh. He was nice enough to let me get a photo together and was thankful for the team support. It was wearing a mask non the less. He deserves a chance at the starter.

    Ft. Christian

Just because he’s a nice guy, takes pictures with fans and wears a mask, doesn’t make him qualify as a starter.

    Ft. Christian

No hate, cool story fr just like mason is good as a back up in my opinion, I think we need someone fresh and new that can really qualify. Mason just throws a lot of interceptions. (Yes Ben was doing that same thing but the dudes older give him a break lol)

Charles Legg

Remember Terry Bradshaw didn’t have a good start he was benched and look what he did. Brett favre didn’t have a good start to his career. You never know something could just click

    Sai Sriram

Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round, benched because the Pats had Drew Bledsoe, and when he finally got his shot, Brady won the super bowl. Benchwarmers sometimes end up being gems.

brandon j

Mason needs a chance

Kody and Carly

I have faith in whoever our QB is. Steeler fan no matter what

Amy Lindsay

I don’t know much but imo I feel if he’s the starting QB i think just that knowing you are not just the back up anymore will instill way more confidence in him! I hope he does well!

    king wopper

Brady was a backup, and he said he told himself when he gets the chance to play he’s gonna make the most of it, he started from that game forward

Will Carryu

He took on an armed Myles Garrett in one of the most disturbing field fights. Respect for that. I do want to see him succeed. It’s all really up to him.

Alley Oop !

You can do it Mason Im routing for you n Haskins I love competition, Ben needed some comp he would have been a much better QB. Seize the moment its just throwing a ball and don’t be a stiff I loved seeing you run this year.

    Joshua F

Lol always disrespecting Big Ben, just be grateful Pittsburgh was blessed with Big Ben and the memories he left us.

    Alley Oop !

@Joshua F Ben was blessed we were not blessed Ben did nothing for us if you break down his career the more that we needed Ben the worse off we were, facts.

    Sports Fanatic

@Alley Oop ! You aren’t a Steelers fan if you’re saying Big Ben did nothing for us. Watch football

Eric Dunlap

If the Steelers can’t get a good quarterback in the draft, keep Rudolph and build up your O-line.

Perry Ellis

I’ve been saying this for a while, I like Mason Rudolph as our QB.
He has great size, a strong and accurate arm, and quick release.
What’s different from 2019 to 2022
He now has a #1 rb and #1 tight end to play with.Pat, He has Chase Claypool to throw deep passes to. The Steelers need to draft a offensive line namely gaurd and center and then rebuild the defensive line. And we need to get a mlb bad!!! But don’t waste a pic on q QB because no college QB is gonna be better than Mason or Haskins.

    Salvador Quintero

I agree, beef up the O line and we are solid. change is good just dont try to reinvent the wheel. Looking forward to our new chapter.

    Mike N

You already saw what he’s made of a d now your just wishful thinking.

    CjNovotney

He has a very average arm unfortunately

Titus Reep

Loved it when he popped that guy in the lions game!

Thomas Gorman

Will our media and fans recognize this opportunity and back the progress needed for our OL?

Darnell Thornton

If he can play as well as he says ya know we got a future Brady twin on our Pittsburgh steeler hands

PokéMatt

Come back to this comment in nov 2022 and agree with me that Mason will shock the steelers worl

Jay Cutter

Put a line in front of this man and let him rip it and let’s see what he can do I think he deserves a chance even though I’m not having much hope because they did Ben dirty with that Oline !!! And Matt should stay at a high school level he was fired before the season started at LSU

Jay Frehley

I hope Mason works his tail off this offseason and proves alot of people wrong – myself included. He’s a likeable and humble young man who definitely has the tools to get the job done. I wish him nothing but the best of luck moving forward!

Sports Fanatic

As a Steelers fan I honestly wouldn’t mind having Mason as our QB 1, it’s our o-line that sucks. We need better o lineman in order to be a solid football team
