You can see the desperation to make a roster spot. He was a special teams guy. Feels like that type of urgency to not win games but to earn your playing time was missing with a couple players.

Any player with those instincts should be on the field love savage but he misses to many tackles and doesnt play the ball the way he is always in position to. Its not on coaching with savage its him so if he wont step up to make the plays that he is in position to make (ie: to many missed tackles and dropped picks) than somebody else in because these coaches are playing the chess board better than usually right now
This is why we see such success with these guys we pick up from practice squads. These guys want it bad. Look at the development of Lazard, and many other players when they got their chance. They appreciate it that much more
