To be fair his 20 vs. 21 play are dramatically different. He looked like he could barely stand his own his first year with us.
Pace deservedly got flak for this signing because every attempt to deploy robert quinn in a 3-4 OLB role seen his production dip significantly from his time spent as a 4-3 DE. Quinn surprised us all with his production this season, but now he’ll be playing with his hand in the dirt again next year, and hes already proven to be good for double digit sacks at that position
@vokaber1DMLUVBTKMVK totally understand the hesitation after the first year but my point was more along the lines of people crucifying him at first but then no admission that they were wrong and pace was right when Quinn plays well. Its like they get all loud when he plays bad but then it’s crickets when he plays well. Kind of a no win situation for pace. Same for Leonard Floyd, pace got beat up over that selection but now he is a key piece on a Super Bowl team and nobody goes back to say “hey, maybe that wasn’t a terrible pick”

@Shane E. he’s been out so long thats why Quinn has the opportunity to make the sacks, quarterbacks I feel were afraid of mack so they would watch him aswell and dump it off when he got close

I would love for Quinn and Mack to stay healthy and both be on the field together for a long while. I think they’ve only been on the field together and healthy for a handful of games.
