THIS. Tired of the NFL putting in our guys like Branch and Stabler after they pass away – denying them a speech and a jacket and ring for their family.

Hector MuΓ±oz

Started following the Raiders in 1967. The year they drafted Ray, 1973, I enlisted in the USAF and ended up in a training flight with one of Ray’s cousins…wherever you are my thoughts are with you.

    Ern Pedrotti

Rip Ray Guy you are a legend and made history

Thanks Ray for all the great memories. There wasn’t a domed stadium high enough to hold those booming punts. RIP

So sad to learn of the passing of The Great Guy, first punter ever drafted in the first round. Always remembered how his kicking foot ended up higher than his head.

Jeff Garrison

RIP RAY GUY
Guy was my favorite Punter, obviously.
I was a Punter, had an offer, but played Baseball instead, until shoulder surgery ended my athletic ambitions.
A lot of people are mad at, dislike or blame Carr, yes, he had a horrible game and hasn’t played nearly as well as he had, but I love Carr, always have, this regime has done him wrong.
However, this team would never in a million years say that they want to win a game for him, like the Saints said about Dennis Allen.
I think that is the difference between a coach that can win with a subpar team in his 1st year, compared to a coach like McDaniels that isn’t inspiring, isn’t a leader of men and won’t win until he builds his own team.

Ronald Redmond

I remember watching Ray Guy back in the day. A Monday Night game in Denver he hit a 75 yard punt. Truly amazing. The only punter in the Hall of Fame. And a Raider. R. I. P. Ray Guy.

This is a certified hood classic

Steven Soutar
