On this week's episode of Bills by the Numbers, Chris Brown and Steve Tasker take a dive into where the Bills are better in the stats than their AFC competitors. Steve is put to the test in 'The Numbers Game' to find out which teams have the most broken tackles in the run game. ESPN analytics analyst Seth Walder tells us how the Bills fare moving forward this season in his latest Football Power Index. Finally, it's our FanDuel Hi-Lo where we pick this week's high/low teams across four categories.

I think the Bills offense will come around and figure it out n the defense will continue to be good n hopefully be great when they need too. Go Buffalo!!!

I fear the Bills hangover from the Jags loss will continue, the Jets are due to beat Buffalo too. Our struggles on the road continue; Jets 29 Bills 20

I’m trying to look for silver linings. The past 2 weeks have been really bad offensively, but I rewatched that Tennessee game and really the Bills were the better team and win that game 7-8 times out of 10. Overall we haven’t seen the offense look comfortable all year, and the glaring cause of that is the OL. Allen has either <2 seconds in the pocket but his time to throw is lengthened because he's almost always under pressure and having to roll out and improvise because the pocket (and thus the plays) breaks down almost immediately. I don't know how they fix the OL at this point in the season. I don't think Spencer Brown coming back miraculously fixes everything. He's still too raw and has much to learn. I just don't know they just have to somehow 'get better.' That's what the season hinges on, I say nervously.

You two are forgetting that the Bills have a very easy schedule and they really haven’t beat a tough team yet. All the teams they have beat have been soft. They couldn’t beat Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and that powerhouse Jacksonville. And they beat KC, Miami (2x), Washington, and Houston.

    Cool story bro

Go Bills!

Go Bills. We will either fix it and play the way we should or it’ll be a long season. O-line is playing at a unacceptable level and it’s not much different from last years line up. Run the ball on the outside 10 times a game come on

Steve I’d like you to know you were one of my Dad’s favorite players back in the 90’s, he/we marveled at your play as a physical and smart player. He used to say you looked more like a choir boy than a football player back in the day and and would have a huge smile on his face when you’d smack someone down hard. I miss my Dad and he and I will be proud when you are a member of the NFL’s Pro Football Hall of Fame hopefully this coming year. On a personal note, I loved when you played receiver too, tuff and always ready with sure hands, you made so many great plays for our Bills team, can’t thank you enough for great memories. Chris and Steve thanks as always for your content I always look forward to it 🙂

And they hav also had the easiest schedule that why the stats are in their favor!!!!!

Matthew Wronkoski

I’m really not that worried about the physicality of this team, both the Titans and the Jags needed both of their best game and ref help to get past the BILLS, I think maybe Knox has more a part of this offense even though we all wanted more stats but maybe he’s been a threat that D coordinators have always planned against
