@Hot Sauce You better check Goff’s completion rate when he’s forced to scramble. FYI…it’s TERRIBLE…like in the 30-40% range. That’s also when he tends to turn the ball over!!! So quit having empty backfield’s, where you’re telling the world you’re going to be throwing the ball…DUH!!
@Gary Rentschler I’m telling ya a couple yrs ago he led league in competition percentage outside the pocket. Not sure what’s different now but it’s fact

@Hot Sauce The announcers were actually talking about this very subject this week. Goff is like 30+% higher completion rate, when he isn’t running for his life. I like Goff…when he’s indoors with a little protection. But empty backfield’s are just an invitation to bull rush. Goff’s worst game was against NE…outside…and NE rushed like crazy. Goff got picked, he fumbled into a TD for NE…it was brutal. The Lion’s have every tool reasonably healthy now. Use them wisely and keep defenses HONEST!! Swift is getting healthy. Wanna bull rush? Draw play to Swift up the middle!! Make em pay and that rush slows down!

Goff deserves that ball, everyone knows that. DJ needs the confidence and MCDC knows it. Good on him for doing that.
Your absolutely right! 100% deserves 2 game balls..1 for each half…but! The fact tht Dan knows how valuable feeling appreciated and involved is he gave it to a guy on a 1yr prove it deal who dealt with an injury lost 6 frigging games! His moral and confidence was low af! JG knows this too thts why they are really trying to get him involved not only to boost his confidence and swag but to open up this offense to a deeper level.
@John M I dunno, I’m a Stafford stan and still highly approved of the trade especially because they were tearing down everything to rebuild after Quinn and Patricia destroyed everything. Goff’s a pro, I have no ill will towards the guy. He doesn’t have that “It” factor where he can put the team on his back and will them to victory, but he’s solid and if they can build around him and he keeps playing like he has been then I’m happy to keep him around.
It was his old team making him feel at home .. because when Jameson Williams is in the lineup .. it’s going to be fun to watch them .. they are going to be wide open
This Sunday is a huge game , lions need to set an example in the nfc north that there the lions of the nfc north.
MCDC could have given that ball to several different guys but he know his team and giving it to a guy that we really need to step up right now like DJ is a brilliant decision. Meathead who??!!
Jaguars fan here. Credit to you guys, going all the way back to last year, this team fights to the very end. That was a 🍑 whooping for sure, good luck for the rest of the season. I’m just happy Trevor Lawrence is ok and is still developing. Maybe you guys will make Doug Pederson begin to consider firing his DC Mike Caldwell thanks to that performance.
I’m glad Trevor wasn’t hurt, he’s my favorite of the young QBs in the league next Herbert. I believe Doug Pederson has you guys going in the right direction, you guys will have a great team in the next 2-3 years. Your defensive talent looks unreal, wait until those boys develop. We both have been laughing stocks of the league for a long-time now but we’re both going to rise up around the same time and get the last laugh, I wouldn’t mind facing you guys in the Super Bowl if that’s possible.

The old Lions would have wilted after such a close loss to Buffalo. These guys showed their mettle. Loved seeing Jamo out there. I think the Vikings are coming into a buzzsaw.

This team has improved tremendously since last season and has been a hell of a last couple of weeks. This is not the same old lions. We are finally going in the right direction. Go lions!
Coach Campbell deserves a ton of credit for changing the culture here and the way these guys play for each other is truly special to watch as a lifelong Lions fan I’ve never been as proud of this team as I am right now!!! 🦁💪
For me a Head Coach is the guy who keeps the team focused. He builds them up when they have a bad loss, he keep them level when they win big. Dan might not be the smartest “football” man, but he is a leader and is keeping the Lions playing hard. In years past 1-6 would have been every man playing for a free agent contract. Dan didn’t let that happen, this year or last year. That is why I like Dan Campbell so much.
