Detroit Lions vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Week 13 postgame breakdown | Twentyman in the Huddle

In this postgame episode of Twentyman in the Huddle presented by Microsoft, Tim Twentyman and producer PJ Clark break down the Detroit Lions’ 40-14 Week 13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The two discuss the Lions’ performance across all three phases in the big win, including notes on a healthy D’Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 100-yard day and what may have been Jared Goff’s best game as a Detroit Lion. After giving some props to DeShon Elliott and the defense, Tim and PJ look ahead to next week’s matchup with the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings. Check back after every Detroit Lions game for Tim’s instant reaction, analysis and postgame sound from players and Dan Campbell.

NFC North is going through a power shift. What is GB going to do with 39 yr old Rodgers?

    just2lazy2name

I doubt it happens but I would find it ironic if he gets traded to the jets, damn close to following the carrer of Brett farve.
From a ‘why would they’ standpoint the packers would love to trasition to Love sooner than later, the Jets are able to handle aarons contract and Idk if they trust their current crew of QBs. It could work for both teams quite well.
I think the jets giving up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks across different years would be enough in compensation for the ageing former MVP.

    Lose

    Brian Brown

@just2lazy2name Rodgers is a California guy. SF just lost their 2nd QB this season and are in first place. A deal to the Niners would have a lot of eyebrows raised.

    just2lazy2name

@Brian Brown 9ers would be sweet for Aaron but they already have 215 mil on the books for 2023, out of an estimated 230 mil cap space.

If rodgers is willing to take a major pay cut down from 50mil to play for the team that have year in and out kneecaped his playoff hopes and dreams, ahhh yeah that would surprise me.

Ok, so now that Santa “Ford” Claus is probably as full of Xmas joy as she’s ever been, maybe you guys can ask for some legit handheld mics or a couple of stands. Makes my arm tired just watching you with those things !

John Glueminski is the cement of this Defense. Playoff bound 🍸cheers

enthusedfern

ESPN stats have jamaal Williams projected getting 20 td by the end of the season. And over 1000 yards

    raymond dufour

    24 TD’s and 1300yds.

He’s getting stronger, and defenses around the league are banged up.

Detroit’s defense made for their offense’s great game.

    Shawn Hawkyard

I first read that as Jameson Williams and was like, “Damn, 1000 yards and 20 TDs in 5 games. What are they smoking?”

    shadybrain3424

1000 yards might be a bit harder to get now that swifty is back completely but 5 games left to get 300ish yards he could do it.

tommy Gunn

Been watching the Lions for 45 plus years… one of the most complete games I have ever seen them play…never had one thought during the game that they could be beat..

    raymond dufour

Windsor born. Lions fan out of the womb. Will never leave the Lion Pride!!

    raymond dufour

In my 50’s living AB, Canada and always wear my gear, regardless.

They go 9-7 and get into a wild card they’ll be a dangerous team.

Whole team seems to be ‘scratching and clawing’!

    Aaron Dough

I’ve got about 35 years being a lions fan and I’ve been a cubs fan a little longer than that. That feeling in 2016 was one of my biggest highs I’ve ever felt. Holy balls am I exited about this team! Go lions go is all I can say!

    Aaron Dough

Fire Campbell, shoot goff, hutch is a bust, blah, blah, blah…….where are all of these people in the comments? Fair weather mother funkers can suck my fat one. I rocked my lions starter jacket every day of the 0-16 season and it feels good having hope. Really good!

    Doug Michael Roossien

i was 9 years old (in 1957)…my friend’s dad two houses up, showed the 1957 Lion’s title game in his small living room. (No idea how he had that video) …A championship that I have been searching for since. We were healthy, Swift and Chark playing the way we dreamed in April. No excuses on the OL. A healthy Cominskey (the knock down) A new phenom Houston (FASTTTTTT!!!!) ETC.

Keith Walker

People need to know that the Lions have scored more 30 point games then any team in the NFL this year and have 5 more games to go. That includes KC, Minn, and Philadelphia.

    DukeofGames50

Smoking the rest of the division in points leaders

DukeofGames50

Thursday cannot come fast enough. I want the S&S video!

    Richie Buck

    Gonna be so good🤤

    DukeofGames50

@Richie Buck I set a playlist of all the W’s MCDC has, the 3 last year into the 4 soon to be 5 this year. So I could hear all the good times when I’m at work.

Doug Michael Roossien

i thought the two weak links were Raymond and Josh Reynolds …as opposed to Chark and Brown…(Brock Wright played well too) I did also like the addition of kick returner running back Justin Jackson. The OL protection was excellent (without a ton of penalties). The Linebackers did excellent…all three Rodruigez, Barnes and Anzalone. Cominsky played EXCELLENT, as did the rest of the DL . Okuda and the other DB’s represented…they all pursued on catches that were made.Offense had a great game plan. A lot of field goals, but I think Raymond and Reynolds were a bit out of sorts when they were asked to step up …but the rest were soooo good when called on 🤩

    Doug Michael Roossien

a juggling catch near the goal line by St. Brown …could be the play of the game

Steven Baffy

Amazing game. It was kind of surreal as a fan, even though I love this team and front office, many years of football trauma as a Lions fan has me always waiting for that thing to happen that always happened in the past. I cannot remember in my decades of Lions fandom ever seeing a more complete victory. Discipline with very few penalties, turnovers with attitude, effort, and intelligence, and complimentary football. I am not sure I have ever seen a Lions team grab another team by the throat and just hold them there, for the entire game. The Jags were still fighting, it is not like they gave up, too many people are saying they did, but they really did not until they pulled Lawrence late in the game.

Wayne Shirk

Been watching since 1970.

Lions have never been efficient.

One word to describe this game.
Efficient
