Welcome to Denver pat

Erik

This man showed no emotion in this interview

    Rolo Tomasi

Erik What did you want him to do? Laps around the stadium?

    Shanav Maharj

    Quentin Reaux hi dad

    Todd Lack

He looks hella tired might be why.

    James Medina

Give the guy a brake he just got sacked lmfao ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Rich Sutterfield

I’m not sure what you expect, but he has been through a lot in the last week. He got fired, has to move to a new city he doesn’t know, evaluate his coaching staff and fire/hire as he deems necessary, evaluate the players, prepare for the draft, etc. He’s got a lot on his plate. I’m sure he’s worn out. What matters is how he adapts to all that between now and OTA’s.

Rylen Beaner

Next year is our year

    C W

Don’t forget about every year after that too

    Rylen Beaner

    @C W damn straight

Mike Williams

I’m optimistic because of his experience but if his offense cripples Drew’s ceiling in anyway I’m sure everyone will be thinking “what if” when thinking of keeping scangarello around for at least another yr.

    ORANGE HIGHLIGHTS

Mike Williams I agree that keeping Scangs could have helped Drewโ€™s development with the continuity, but Pat Shurmur has been known to bring out the best in his QBs throughout the years, like Case Keenumโ€™s miracle season in Minnesota. I look at it as a small step back to take a monumental leap forward.

    Mike Williams

@ORANGE HIGHLIGHTS it’s all wishful thinking until this offseason passes and the results of the 2020 season surface, like I said I’m optimistic but the uncertainty remains

Dave Logan

Now it’s gonna be West Coast Offense on STERIODS…Red Zone Smash..no more wimpy offense..Fangio knows how this guy operates a offense..

    Amazing Guy

@Dave Logan Barkley is a bust?! You must be smoking that Colorado marijuana, and Eli is going to retire and I guess you didn’t see Daniel Jones light it up.

    Dave Logan

@Amazing Guy Barkley 2.300 yards in a weak Division 2nd overall pick..Lindsay 2.100 yards 4.9 avg.crappy oline in a way stronger Division .not drafted and hurt 4gms.17 tds..500k a yr..Barkley 30 mil guaranteed..Lock is also way better than Daniels right now..lol Giants are a total rebuild so they fire coach..thanjs now we have 3 head coaches ..Munchak..Shumer..Fangio..12-4 next yr..Giants 4-12 for many yrs bottom feeders with Cowgirls and Redskins..wOrst division in NFL

    Beau

@Amazing Guy OC shurmur > HC shurmur

    MrAdamNTProtester

Mad RESPECT for this move- Shumur is a great hire… he will develop Lock & surround him with QUALITY Oline guys, give him a running game & short-mid range R/P option game to open up the outside 1 on 1s when a safety is forced into the box… I am especially happy that he will have a screen game that will burn KC they way KC has been burning us for like EVER & a day… very very awesome move… not just a solid OCoord a TOP NOTCH OCoord… well done Elway!

    daniel guth

Elway wanted Shumer and Fangio last year. They hired Scangrello for a single year until Shumer was available. This is the coaching staff Elway was pining for.

Elways is seasoning as a GM.

Mike Muffler

I like ole Pat.. Don’t think were very successful when he was in Cleveland but then again, we’re Cleveland so..

CA Sports

Welcome Pat

C W

I like him.

Kevin Bolanos

I really hope weโ€™re able to hold onto Royce freeman, Lindsay can be the workhorse but he doesnโ€™t need to, keep both healthy by splitting the load

    MrNobodycares100

Royce doesnt break tackles and is kinda slow

Calebโ€™s Hour

Ready for chubb to be back too bad he missed beating his brother this year

    Ryan Wentz

    Cousins not siblings

Darville Leonard

He looks more stronger and more Experence than Rich

    Chris Button

So much more confidence than rich

    daniel guth

what if this is a move to get an experienced OC to stand on the sidelines… would it allow Fangio to return to the booth?
Fangio never coached from the sideline before this year, and having Shurmur on the sidelines would return Fangio to the booth.

If Fangio is better at reading defenses from the vantage point of the booth, in real time, this might be a move to get Fangio back to his most productive environment. Let Shurmur throw the flags.

    wouldnt that be crazy….

    jesster777

daniel guth would be kinda crazy, never been a head coach who isnโ€™t in the sideline to talk to his players. i see what u mean it does kind of make sense but i donโ€™t think it would work logically. you need a guy. fangio is the guy and putting him in the booth would just throw off that dynamic

    jesster777

daniel guth fortunately though he did start to acclimate to being on the sideline towards the midpoint when our defense started playing better

Gmo Gomez

Every roster needs a FB. #Jano2020

    daniel guth

Janovich. Team slump started when Janovich went down.

    he is the one. (lol)

Rich Sutterfield

The thing I like about Shurmur is he doesn’t have a single offensive scheme he crams down a QB’s throat. You look at what he’s done over the years with different QB’s, it isn’t the same. He customizes the offense around the QB’s strengths. He works with what he has. With Lock he has both a gunslinger and a guy who knows how to take what the defense is giving him. I’m optimistic. But I’m always optimistic in January. We’ll see how the cards play out in August.

padkirsch

Welcome to Denver Coach Shurmur! Hope this goes well!

Amazing Guy

Good luck from a Giants fan.

The Discussion

This is one advantage Drew has over every young QB in the league: guidance.

Heโ€™s being mentored by Peyton Manning AND John Elway. Think about that for a second.

    Beau

Elway doesn’t have a whole lot of free time to mentor Drew.

    Weston Schmid

Beau he still gives him a lot of advice

    Weston Schmid

Beau when your the starting qb they make time

    daniel guth

@Weston Schmid Elway doesnt do that. He doesnt mentor any of the quarterbacks. Saw an interview years ago that had a reporter asked the same question. Elway said he doesnt include himself into that conversation because its the job of the quarterbacks coach and the offensive coordinator to have a training plan and mindset.

I love it because Elway trusts his coaches, and messing with the training schedule is something a good GM doesnt do.

    Dont be Jerry Jones.

    Weston Schmid

daniel guth he does give lock attention and advice if you were listening to interviews during the year of lock etc.
    Manning does too.
Like you said โ€œan interview years agoโ€
Lock has the most potential weโ€™ve seen since manning
