If Christian Harris, Tyler Linderbaum, Kenyon Green or Nakobe Dean are there in the early second, Giants should take a chance

    Cleetus T. Bags

For me it’s dean and then green followed by linderbaum then Harris

I wouldn’t waste a pick on a small undersized physically weak short armed center. I wouldn’t even consider him before round 4 and that’s only if 4 other centers that will be better pros are gone. He is the best example of how all the mock drafts are clueless. They ALL had him going top 10 and some had him top 5…. Now they are coming up with excuses because the scouts and GMs are finally showing that the actual football people do NOT value him. He won’t go in the first, likely won’t go in the second.

Loved the evaluations john great job

Blackceeser

love the tee shirt John

No Recievers? our recieivng core needs alot of help. what we have now is not going to be enough

    Blackceeser

@stephen2015 thats th problem. they cant stay healthy.

    stephen2015

@Blackceeser I just don’t really think we can say that based on one year. I can’t call toney injury prone when he wasn’t on college.
Golladay started 14 games last year. He has only had one really injured year in the league. Even with him being banged up most of the year I’m betting that with an actual functional offense with an OL that is at least average (instead of the worst or second worst in the league) that he will do his normal 80+ and 1000+.
Shep though he seems like a great guy is just a waste. He won’t play more than 6 games next year. He is just always hurt. The hope is he plays well early and stays healthy up to the trade deadline and we get something for him.
Slayton is fine as a 4th option, I actually think he is well above most teams number 4.
If they can get an actual weapon at TE, not dominant but a guy that can catch 50 balls for 600+… The recievers are above average. Now again, I’d love to find a guy that has a chance to replace golladay in a year or two (I’m not convinced they will move on from golladay after next year. If he can have an 80+ catch year I’d expect him back.
Point just is that IMHO we have needs at other spots rt now that are more immediate.

    Blackceeser

@stephen2015 great points. i hope your right

Zion is the best center prospect but Green is the best guard prospect (well Ikhem is the best but people keep seeing him as a tackle when he could be a nelson like guard).
Cross is the best tackle prospect. Expect the Giants to take him at 5 even if Ikhem and Neal are still on the board.

stephen2015

Cam jourgens is gonna go 4th or later.

stephen2015

The problem with the second tier of edges is so many are lacking length. If Mafes arms came in at 34 instead of 32 he would be mid 1st.

Adam Wallace

here’s an idea… Giants give Colin Kaepernick a shot…. Is he better than Daniel Jones?? probably…If DJ works out…. Not a lot of down side here…. Thoughts?

    Josiah Sims

the down side is he would bring way too much baggage, saw what happened with the Panthers when they tried Newton again? Just my opinion.

    Adam Wallace

@Josiah Sims What real baggage though? He ‘s a value at QB he can be picked up cheaply and he’d be serviceable until a long term replacement is found…. think Kurt Warner in 2004…. Just my thoughts

    Josiah Sims

@Adam Wallace there is no way anyone would sign him without making him a publicity stunt imo but I think Daniel Jones being still younger is more of an investment. But I can see your idea.

Brandon Maraldo

Pickens at 36 would be amazing

Rio Ahn

Let’s see which injury Toney fakes in mini camp

DW X

Too many high quarterbacks picked slowly becoming backups or reclamation projects for every Burrow Allen Herbert Mahomes out there. Teams should pick whoever helps them win, regardless of prospect or combine evaluations, fifth option be damned
