If the Giant dont AT LEAST get a 2 from Carolina to switch picks they are IDIOTS.
Hamilton wont go top 10. No one is taking a slow safety that cant cover the slot in the top 10. NO ONE.

A 2 and pick swapping up all their day 3 picks this draft plus something else.

    stephen2015

@IllCaesar well you ain’t getting much to flip 6 and 5. The beauty of that trade that results in probably the 1st QB going is that 6 and 7 still have a ton of value. You then look to trade either for 9 or 12 and a 1 next year (for 12 you get more. Probably a 2 or 3 this year or next) or trade one down to 20 for a 2, next year’s 1 and a 2 or 3 next year. It’s very conceivable that you could flip 5 to 6, then trade down from both 6 and 7 and still be picking at 9& 12 with multiple 2s this year and 1s next year to show for it. You start by publicly traveling to Atlanta, NO, Seattle, Pittsburgh and Carolina last. Carolina just has to think someone may come up to 5 then they want to prevent that. Even after Carolina takes a QB you still have those other teams trying to get up to get one (if they didn’t have the same QB as QB 1 on their list).
Even if the Giants don’t want to move down or teams offer very little there is still no excuse for not getting a 2 from Carolina so they can get the QB they wanted. You sell it to them as “look, I don’t want to move down much cause I don’t want to miss out on the guys we are targeting but I can’t turn down more capital. For a 2 I’ll flip picks and I can sell that we didn’t want to miss out on who we wanted but if I don’t get it I’m gonna have to risk losing a guy to get the Capital they are offering me”. To Carolina it may seem like why would they trade a 2 just to move one spot when the Giants won’t take their qbanyway BUT it’s a 2 to make sure they get the guy they want. The only way it doesn’t work is if they target anyone besides Willis or maybe the 24 year old from pit (Braun cramp). But if they target rider or carral they would be looking to trade down themselves.
Though teams are higher on corral than these mock guys are. Corral could wind up in NO and rider in Pittsburgh. There will be 4 or 5 qbs in round 1 this year.

A lot to comment on but one thing I def agree on is romaine johnson being a beast

Never heard or seen kyle Hamilton play until this years opener vs FSU and I seen the int Charles is talking about. He turn from a leprechaun into a gazelle wearing a golden helment. The ability to read the play and qbs eyes while he ran cross field FULL speed , not interfere with his teammate/or WR , Hi-Point the football with his hands, come down cleanly with the football, and lastly had the awareness so have both feet in bounds only with a couple inches of space between the sidelines and him. Honestly it was the the best defensive play I had seen all season

optimus2g

Charles is a great guy and a nuts and bolts football man. Great guest.

SuperCoprolite

Love the hat Charles a truly special small town.

Anthony DeCesare

I wonder if hypothetically Giants took 2 OL at 5 and 7 between 2 of the 3 of ikoneu, Neal or Cross, say they drafted 2 of the 3, along with AndrewThomas, I wonder who would play the 2 tackle spots and who would play G between Thomas and the 2 guys we draft…if we took 2 of the 3 of Ikoneu, Neal and Cross.

John DiFrancesco

That was great football talk and analysis with a great football mind Charles Davis.👍👍 John was good too. 😏
