His running reminds me a lot of Bradshaw, regarding how tough he is to bring down I know he does not have that size, and very interesting! He is elusive like no one else I’ve seen. OBJ had a nice jump cut, but not exactly as crazy as TONEY! This kid has move after move, and he said last night some of it is made up in moment… NOT PRACTICED?! Lol.
I do not think the Giants truly wanted Devante Smith, even if he was the best player on the board! They wanted waddle 1000%, a SLOT guy… However they are extremely happy with who they got! If that was not true, most likely they would’ve taken Bateman or someone else at 20 instead… It’s obvious you can’t move Slay never mind Kenny to the inside! Let’s not forget that this kid can freaking return kicks/punts and even line up next to Saquon in the backfield and really screw with peoples minds! LOL. Try defending that, Kyle Rudolph, Evan Engram, Kenny Golladay! Not to mention the fact that you have one of the fastest QBs in the NFL who can bootleg no problem. I don’t know what the record is, but the Giants could go from essentially the worst red zone to the best in one season. Maybe not ranked number one, but they could literally move up 25 spots or so! They have the weapons to compete with anyone… Let’s not forget that we were missing people due to injuries, and blew it at the end against the Super Bowl champions/Tampa Bay, losing by two points!!! I’ll tell you right now, this team has that “next man up mentality“, and they literally have the depth to fill that now on both sides. We had one of the best defenses last year, and let’s not forget that Isaac Yiadom #27 was on the field pretty much every game! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. I literally watched the opposing quarterback look for him, and throw the ball to whatever the hell he was covering! Week 17 Xavier McKinney was back, which resulted in Isaac taking a seat where he belongs…
Not only do we have McKinney back, we also picked up Jackson to go play opposite of Bradberry (my opinion easily top-five in the NFL), Darney homes and Julien love developing and having the game slow down for them should be special! A rotation with peppers, Logan Ryan and Xavier McKinney is a whole different story! I do expect the Giants to land another CB day 2/today or potentially tomorrow.
I expect after the third preseason game, we will have to release some good players… That’s a good problem to have! After we do that, another team will release some of their good players, and the Giants most likely will pick up one or two of those guys! Not sure what the rules are going to be regarding Covid, if we can carry more guys on the practice squad/active roster etc. like last year. Should be interesting, but this roster is already two times better than last year‘s! Jones will have the same system, he starting running back returning, a true number one, too tight ends… Including one that does not drop a pass, and the other one being Evan Engram! LOL. We will be able to run many different formations on both sides, should be special! Giants fans, let’s get excited! We have a lot to be excited about!!!

Every time I hear Judge say stuff like he can’t wait for Toney to get here and compete for playing time, it makes me smile. He says that constantly about the players. You have to earn your way with him.
