@Detroit Made true. And hitting on 4ths like st brown is epic. Just saying we’ve had lots of picks and high ones (Sewell and hutch) those are easy. Can’t waste 2s and 3s on always inured guys. Levi had that bad back known about before draft day. And melinfu can’t see field even with all the safety injuries so he’s a bust was taken as cb already bust there. Levi was worth risk but can’t take those risks any more and be wrong. But overall taking over roster they did under worst coach ever Patricia they are both doing great.

@Paul Mayer Without a DOUBT! They offered Spielman the GM position and he declined in favor of finding a REAL gm and he vouched for Brad Holmes because he knew everybody on every team and knew that this was going to be the right guy for the Lions. One man’s integrity started this whole ball rolling.
Don’t forget Shiela. She’s shown a more long-term and patient attitude with the management team than I think most NFL owners would have. She appreciates that everyone’s in a learning process, not just the young group of players, but DC too, and learning takes time. Without her say-so, with a view to changing the fortunes of the franchise, none of this happens.

Im happy to admit I was wrong about Goff. I was definitely on the train that wrote him off too quickly, especially after having Stafford. But seeing the skill he’s put on when he’s had different looks and the O-line is healthy has changed my mind. Hope he continues to play well and we can add to the defense in the draft. This team is really turning into something special
@Garrett if a QB don’t have a good offense linebacker he’s going to suck.
@Garrett Goff is a very good, serviceable veteran quarterback. He will throw the ball behind receivers at times and miss a lot of opportunities, but now he has SO many weapons and SO much protection… he is very capable of picking defenses apart. He’s not one of the greatest QBs ever, but he is more than adequate. You can win a superbowl with this team exactly as it is.
Not only winning but playing good enough to control the game! This is how its supposed to look, great job Lions!!

@Rob I’m a hutch fan all the way but it’s a close battle. Sauce has been locking down his side of the field all year. I don’t think Hutch gets enough credit because his D-line isn’t very talented, but Sauce has been consistent all year where Hutch has been a bit up and down.

This was the first time in the SuperBowl era that a 5 win team was favored to beat a 10 win team. The shocking part was the Lions won convincingly

What I find amazing is that, not only are the Lions tough to beat now, but we are liked. Listen to players on other teams. Listen to fans of other teams. They love Coach Dan and the team. This is really going to pay dividends in free agency and the draft. Players are WANTING to be part of what Detroit is doing. Our players will help recruits free agents, and they won’t look at Detroit just as a paycheck. Drafted players will be happy to be in Detroit, unlike Suh. They know they will be part of a family, they will be respected and treated well, and they will play. They won’t be benched for simply being a rookie. They can work their way into packages, or starting.
That culture change with the draft picks we have…..look out. And now we know how to win, and persevere.
Draft Will Anderson, Jalen Carter, or Myles Murphy with the 1st pick. 2nd pick, go defense again. Get even more pass rush and pressure, and we go to the playoffs for sure.

Complimentary football. When the offense was down, the defense picked up the slack. Offense came back to help out the defense and get them a rest. Special teams was solid the whole game. Bravo.
I have Williams on my dynasty team, so I really hope he blows up. That just looked like a badly-blown coverage, though. Still, I’m happy for him. He will always remember his first NFL reception.
They completely controlled this game! Especially at the end. Really impressed by Goff who was converting multiple 3rd downs to keep the ball away from Minnesota and killed time.
This is probably the best highlights package I’ve seen for a long time on the channel. Not just because of the high of a convincing win, but because it shows meaningful contributions from the whole team, not just the scoring plays. Please keep going in this direction, including on losing weeks.
