Praying for a swift recovery for Tua ๐Ÿ™

Melvin Everett

Prayers from Michigan!!

    Adam Outdoor Bushcraft

What part of Michigan are you in I’m over by the St Joseph Kalamazoo area

Business Scalers

Tua is ok, that is all I care about.

    King Shango

Just because he’s outta hospital doesn’t means he’s OK. Worst is yet to come. Head injuries are serious

Tafao Family

Everyone is assuming the hit from the previous week had something to do with it. But the hit itself was from a 340 lb defensive tackle. He picked Tua up and slammed him to the ground. Tuas injury could’ve been from that blow alone.

    Dolwolfian Photography

@Brock Carrow I know but you still need to protect your player…no?

    Dolwolfian Photography

@Brock Carrow Not even moral one…๐Ÿ˜”I know it’s a business but even wasn’t a very good business wise decision….๐Ÿ™„

    NSNBC

@Dondid I use the wrong word?

    NSNBC

    @Don no I didn’t. Read a book buddy

    King Shango

@Josh Brown maybe Tua should add some weight if he ever plays again so he won’t get lifted off his feet so easily

gman_livenow

Look at it as two separate events.
Sunday: for better or worst it was reported as a lower back and ankle injury
Thursday night event: QB (slammed, rag-dolled, pile-driven) to a “cement” turf in a plastic hat. (when you watch the hit to the turf at regular speed, you can feel the impact [slow-mo takes the severity away]). I would say if he was 100% healthy before this event, he would not be after…

    gman_livenow

@Obama Care That was the optics for Sunday…Like any situation, it only really matters to the principal involved “Tua”, he got the information firsthand (and he knows how he feels and I would guess he spoke to family) and made a decision to play. The bottom line he makes the decision for Tua and everyone else does not matter (you, me, and everyone else).

    Chibi TheEdgehog

@Obama Care so, I shake my head after doing push-ups because I put so much stress on my body. Did I have a concussion? Banging you head off of something alone is not what causes a concussion. Your brain had its own Membrane and blood buffer between the skull and the brain, what’s needed to cause a concussion Is a extremely violent and sudden change in velocity. Simply banging your head would hurt and your ears will ring a bit but it’s not a guaranteed concussion.

    MikeWhoo

@Chibi TheEdgehog people are really not understanding that part. They think any time you hit your head and get a little woozy. Boom concussion ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ฅ it’s just simply not the case. Boxing, UFC, football many sports people get their bell rung and continue on with what they were doing seconds, minutes before. Not every head hit is a concussion or these athletes would be taken out of every game and match constantly.

The only reason we are here today discussing this and reporters asking foolish questions like “will tua sit out the rest of the year??” Is because they think they know more then the medical staff and independent neurologist who let tua play. If this was any other player who got a concussion on a short week reporters would be asking “since he’s got a 10 day break before the next game, do you think he will be ready by then???” But instead we are here acting like a single incident has cause on the other and it’s some life altering injury.

    Obama Care

@Chibi TheEdgehog so you did push-ups hit your head and collapsed to the ground?

    Obama Care

@Chibi TheEdgehog you should look up concussion protocol before you comment

Jonathan Moore

To be honest, I have back that goes from time to time and when it does, that bills walk is the result. Tua really needs to protect himself. Throw the ball away or take the sack.

    Fraser Roberts

A sharp back pain can absolutely cause someone to stumble. I think the concerning part was he seemed to shake his head and put his hands up to his head which would suggest he had his bell rung versus major back pain.

    Orange President

He slammed his head and signaled to head pain not his back man. No doctor would have cleared this man this is corruption at the highest level of football the most profitable sports league in the world OPEN YOUR EYES

    Jonathan Moore

@Orange President calm down son. Calm down. Don’t be a tool.

    Orange President

@Jonathan Moore disgraceful dude, protecting brains is more important than winning game 4 of the regular season. I can be calm and call bullshit at the same time

    Orange President

@Jonathan Moore im a big fan of the league man, irregardless this is negligence u canโ€™t srsly believe he wasnโ€™t concuss from that first hit

jonathan naranjo

Skylar Thompson needs to get a chance

    jonathan naranjo

@Don nobody is claiming to know more than Mcdaniels. Doesnโ€™t stop us from having opinions and it definitely doesnโ€™t stop even an offensive guru like mcdaniels from making the wrong call.

    DeleteDaYeet

Brady was drafted in the sixth and when he got a chance he did great,Skylar was drafted in the seventh,so maybe if you give him a chance he could replace Tua.He played amazing in the preseason as well.

    James Havlin

@Keith Giles exactly but put him with first strings and he will shine

    _ Zoinks

No way he’s ready but he’ll be getting more practice snaps as #2 now. If Tua can’t go for awhile or gets injured again (he 100% will) then Bridgewater will have to really stink up the place and put the season in jeopardy for Skylar to get a shot. Ted could go down too and then no other choice.

one1blue

As a Bengals fan I have to ask, what can our media team do so we can actually hear the questions being asked by reporters at our news conferences?

Hope Tua has a full recovery. GL with the rest of the season.

    David Weiner

I will say over and over again that it was a dirty hit, but the Bengals fans were nothing but classy. I think most of us Phins fans appreciate that…

    MikeWhoo

@David Weiner it wasn’t a dirty hit bro. I’m a fins fan and it was no where close to dirty. Sorry but tua should have thrown that ball away. He’s done this a lot last year where he takes unneeded sacks like that one by trying to get away 15 yards in the backfield

    Odarris Dhaiti

@MikeWhoo It was questionable cause of how he slam/suplex him. I would agree he should’ve throw it away earlier but I know they were aggressive downfield and that seemed like the game-plan. I believe Mike but I think Tua got dinged and he wanted to play so he passed all the test vs the bills. I have had 4 concussions in my career in highschool and college and only once have I ever told the staff and that’s cause I stayed down for a second and was dazed after. Played risk alot for this game.

    Austin Greene

@MikeWhoo i agree tua should have thrown it away, but i also thing that it was a little unnecessary to slam tua down the way the dt did. obviously it wasn’t intentional, but maybe a little excessive

    J dOC W

Itโ€™s even worse listening to NHL media conferenceโ€™s.

Brian Wilner

I really love this Coach. I think he is a top notch guy, his integrity is obvious.

    Obama Care

I like him less as a coach now unfortunately after his comments saying if there’s any inclination of a concussion they aren’t playing yet tua grabbed his head fell to the ground and still played 4 days later

    Cryptum404

bro what are you saying? he doesnโ€™t know the impact of concussions or the seriousness

    Obama Care

@Cryptum404 do you know the definition of inclination? Does tua grab his head and collapse on every play?

Antonio Salas

Thank God he’s ok, still praying for him, don’t Rush him back he was playing lights out this season you could see the drop off production from Tua to teddy, but there are far more important things than football

Peter Gonzalez

Integrity canโ€™t be faked. How he acted last night with tua on the field and his answers since, Mcdanielโ€™s integrity feels truly genuine and Iโ€™m grateful heโ€™s leading this team.

    Mitchell Bowser

    @Julio ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

    King Shango

@Timothy Eason he doesn’t care. Tua had his brains scrambled EVERYONE watching knew he was concussed vs Buffalo and then was throwing up gang signs four days later because coach let him out there lol. Enjoy losing streak

    thespaceram2

@King Shango you are going to enjoy the losing streak if you keep fooling around with black magic. You just wait and see homer.

    thespaceram2

@Obama Care Obamito El Rey de los frenos. (King of the car breaks)

Joseph Pomale

Thank you Coach, love your work.

Daryl Brown

“Adversity is opportunity”. If that’s the mindset, then give Skyler that opportunity and see what happens. We’ve seen what Teddy can do, and it’s impressive, and he’d still be right there if the kid falls on his face. Fins up! Prayers for Tua ๐Ÿ™

    Please enter a name

Ah you think teddy is impressive. Interesting.

    Uncle Joe

    @Please enter a name impressively mediocre !!!

thetexanrob

Everyone who’s a dolphins fan feels like their pet has died. That’s a feeling Everyone is feeling today. ๐Ÿ˜•

    Mitchell Bowser

I was same HS class as him and watched him all thru HS and bama as a fan. Almost feels more like my friend got paralyzed

Brooks Allen

Thank you Coach, true Dolphins fans have your back.

hurridolfan305

I truly love our new coach, we will be in the superbowl sooner then later now.

Smรซg

I love this guy. I feel privileged to have this man looking after the team I love. The way he speaks, you can tell he cares genuinely about the players. Top man

    Ru Le

    Baloney!

    King Shango

You’ll be feeling differently once Tua doesn’t come back and the Ls start piling up

    SURGE

@King Shango you trolling on everyoneโ€™s comments lol who hurt you bro ?

HiLostBoy

As a jets and bama fan I believe him and he truly cares and loves tua unlike the prior coach from what Iโ€™ve heard, hope tua for a speedy recovery and no long lasting effects later down the road would suck if he ends up like Andrew luck heโ€™s only 24.

    _ Zoinks

    FTJ

SURGE

I love this guy , honestly the best coach weโ€™ve had in forever.

    King Shango

Once dolphins are 3-4 you’ll be changing your tune

    SURGE

@King Shango Organization is more United than it ever has been because heโ€™s at the Helm, it ainโ€™t about winning or losing but I wouldnโ€™t expect you to understand.

    King Shango

@SURGE organization was caught tampering with Brady and coach Payton and tanking lost draft picks and now let their QB go back in a game after having his brains scrambled vs Buffalo where EVERYONE seen him wobbling around like a boxer obviously concussed and blatantly lie about it being back and foot injury.. They push their qb back out there only 4 days later and he ends up on the turf again throwing up gang signs lol. What a great organization

    King Shango

@SURGE what a brilliant coach. He literally ran his QB to the ground and sacrificed him for a 4-0 start.

Alexander Storc

Thank you Coach McD and your love for the players

    Ru Le

    Hogwash!
