Frank Reich Postgame Press Conference | Week 18 at Jaguars – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Brayden1102

This organization embarrassed everyone. Everybody should feel ashamed.

    Brayden1102

@JB embarrassed because we backed this team just for them to prove us wrong at the last second.

    Stephen Irons

@JB In all fairness, if any of them forget about this by tomorrow, I want them off the team.

    JB

@Brayden1102 I never thought once this year that they were a champion football team.

    JB

@Stephen Irons I agree but sadly that happens frequently in professional sports

    Harpoon_Bakery

Reporters throwing softballs at Reich, typical Indy media. Being confident “we can figure that out” is ringing hollow. This was a terrible fail.

Dyreece Howard

Tooo much time focusing on hard knocks. Wasted Taylor’s MVP season 🤦🏾‍♂️

    Christopher Pooler

That’s exactly part of it. They should’ve knew better

    dws420

I wouldn’t necessarily say an “MVP season”, Henry didn’t even get 1 single vote last year (yes I know rogers had an insane year last season) so there’s a huge chance the same will go for JT, im not hating or anything but sadly the MVP is a QB only award.

    Tru Tru

Damn, I said the same thing. That hard knocks bs.

Caleb_ _MTZ

I rode with Carson this whole season through the little bit of good and whole lot of bad.
I now am officially a non-believer. I know this is only his first year, but this wouldn’t have happened with Luck or Rivers to just name recent QBs. I understood the Raiders loss, but these are the Jags. Wtf

    Christopher Pooler

@Angel Jetski he has to know to throw people open. He second guesses too much.

    Felipe Gabriel Rodrigues das Neves

Rivers literaly lost to the Jaguars last season and Luck quit so no point on bringing his name

    Joel Castillo

Right the Patriots rolled on them like 40-10 and Colts can beat them embarrassing

    234567kenny

After the throws we saw him make today and these last couple of weeks, it’s pretty obvious.

    The hairy rabbit

@Felipe Gabriel Rodrigues das Neves in week 1 lmaoooo

Joseph Timothy

Carson is certainly Frank’s quarterback, just not Indys….

Alpha Wolf

Get ready for a 5th year of “We gotta be better”

    Laura Splicer

    Broken record wentz yes 💽💽💽💥💥

    Laura Splicer

Btw he went duck hunting all this past week ..

    Frank Gonzales

@Laura Splicer 🤣🤣 did he really??

A smile on my face but a Demon inside

Ive heard alot of that over the past 20+ years of this team, I cant do it anymore. not worth it

    Daniel Bridges

    In all 3 phases🤣🤣

Dalton Eisenbath

I see it as Frank wanting Carson to succeed so badly that it took away from our running game these last 2 weeks. JT is the best back in the league. You give him more touches in these last 2 games and I believe we are in the playoffs no problem.

    dws420

@T S the reason it took him until 4 years is due to him being a backup and Matt Lafleur literally refused to use him much, 2019 was when he officially became a starter, in a way it helped his career though.

    Paul Egger

He had 937 in 8 games…do the math. I LOVE having Jonathan as a Colt for hopefully for his entire career. But I can also be HONEST when talking about REALITY.

    Daniel Dougan

Jacksonville’s defense made it impossible to run much. They forced the Colts to pass more than they wanted to. It’s the same way Tampa Bay beat the Colts. They took Taylor out of the game.

The Jags have studs up front and a generational talent in Trevor Lawrence. When properly coached, they have a lot of upside. Credit to them for embarrassing the Colts.

    J J

@Ron Pow I heard on the radio yesterday he’s only locked in 1 more year and after that there’s no cap penalty for releasing him as his guaranteed money is up.

    HurshRd

We ran too much and became predictable lol.

Sexton Hardcastle

I like Frank, but either stop choking or leave. The Colts have done nothing but choke in the four years he’s been here.

Da Shads

His playing calling has cost us so many games the last two years. The bills game, the tampa game, this game, the raider game. I think it’s time for Frank to go, we’ve got to do better has gone on for to long,

    Tempestly18

i can’t wait for reich to leave. he’s the reason we haven’t moved on from wentz yet

    Jim Logan

@T S i would settle for Urban Meyers lol

    Jim Logan

@T S i have wanted him to come back for a long time we will see

    Samuel Colby

    Ravens game this year too

Isaiah Fry

We lost to a team who was protesting their terrible play with clown uniforms in the stands.

    NAFTALI Walkin

    Carson Wentz makes everyone worse

    Jonathan Green

    #TITANUP

joe swain

0 division titles, 0 opening day wins, most blown big leads, 0 wins at Jags and now the last 2 weeks against interms with playoffs on the line, when’s it gonna be enough?

    tashun` miller

Said a mouth full then 🗣️🤦🏾‍♂️

    Bill Hussan

Chris Ballard is overrated doesn’t ever do enough

    Kenzo Rome

    @Bill Hussan  Frank is overrated

david kelly

His face says it all. He was outcoach by an interim and he knows Wentz ain’t it.

    Harpoon_Bakery

Wentz is awful. Ballard totally failed on getting a QB. They really should have gone all out for Stafford.

Garret Couch

This stings worse than when the colts lost to the Patriots in the AFC championship 45 to 7 in 2014

EB

No excuse. You lost to the worst team/organization in the league. It cost you a playoff spot. Probably one of the worst loses in Colts history.

    Matt Dick

    In nfl history

Stephen Beard

I hope that ownership evaluates the QB position honestly. The conservative play calling the coaching staff calls for Wentz shows the lack of confidence in him no matter what Reich may say. I’m very disappointed as a life long fan.

Light Eagle

I think Reich officially goes into the hot seat in 2022 simply because of his complete inability to learn from his past mistakes, although the recent collapse blinds people from the fact that he is a good offensive mind and a great coach, his lack of coordination when it comes to situational playcalling as well as his blind faith in players (cough cough Wentz) instead of established means( cough cough Taylor) continues to hurt this team. For the entirety of this season, the Colts have been the definition of inconsistent, and the more alarming part is that there seems to be a lack of accountability, which is extremely surprising given how this team was supposedly built on characters and comradery. Ballard is staying put, Reich is HC for at least 2022, Brady will probably stay OC, and established starters such as Blackmon, Leonard, Ya-sin, Moore, Buckner, Pittman, Nelson, Kelly, and Smith will stay put, besides those mentioned there and a few other starters, I’d leave no stone unturned this offseason.
-Ballard needs to objectively look at this team away from Reich’s opinion. If that means taking the playcalling out of his hands and into Marcus Brady then so be it. This entire year we’ve heard how much of a great offensive genius he is, but he doesn’t call plays. As long as Reich is calling plays I don’t think this offense will ever be enough to take this team to the end goal, and with Eberflus likely leaving for a HC position this year the defense could end up receiving an overhaul along with a new coordinator. Whatever the case is, this Colts team needs to change, will it, probably not :/

    J J

His blind faith in Adam Vinnetari cost us 2-3 games in 2019. Also Eberflus may not leave. Hell his defense chocked vs the Jags too.

    Stephen Irons

This post is long winded and not correct in areas. You said he went with Wentz and not Jonathan Taylor, buddy we can only play the Taylor card so many times before they stack 9 guys in the box. It was Reich inability to properly have Carson call the game that came to him. Carson really does acts like a guy who has Ptsd to me.

    Steven Bassil

Ballard did not have to trust reich in getting wentz. We could’ve waited for this years qb market. Ik that trade for wentz isnt the type of trade Ballard would make. Reich was definitely in his ear about wentz and rivers.
Reich is a great coach, he should not be trying to influence the roster

    Steven Bassil

@J J it’s not about blind faith, it’s reich building a culture. He understands locker rooms and knows that in order to create a winning and good culture, he has to show his players that he has faith in them, although I think it’s coming to a point where he may be babying them too much

    J J

@Steven Bassil Tell me his trust in Adam V didn’t cost 2-3 games? Does he know how to hype his team enough to win one of two games at the end of the season to make the playoffs? How about vs a 4-29 team (last 2 years) like Jax?

Cat Man

When the Colts finish next season at 9-8 or 8-9 again, Frank will be giving this same press conference. Seven pro bowlers and a 98 percent chance of making the playoffs two weeks ago and to not making the playoffs? If this isn’t a fireable offense I sure as hell would like to know what is. If our owner doesn’t break up this Reich-Wentz tandem it just means he’s gotten soft as well and doesn’t really care about winning rings.

    Chad Watkins

I totally agree. Wasted opportunity, wasted potential. Carson Wentz is a great guy, and I’m a Colt fan to the core, but I’ll be damned if he wasn’t the single biggest reason this season just ended. If you have to babysit your quarterback to get a good game every 3 tries, then he shouldn’t be a starter. Colts should sell the car, the house, and the dog in the back yard to get Aaron Rogers this offseason.

    #1 George

If you go watch last year’s playoff game the loss directly on him
.. they dominated the Buffalo Bills offensively and defensively on the line of scrimmage
Yet still lost the playoff game to them because Frank Reich chose not to kick a field goal and go for it on 4th Down…

I’m not a Colts fan, I just feel bad for their fans because I know how good of a team they have and I know that this coach is a total bum

A smile on my face but a Demon inside

@#1 George this is what this franchise does

Martin Brady

What a shocker. As a Titans fan, I am particularly stunned that the Colts are out of the playoffs. Dangerous team, and they were playing killer football three games ago. I was even seriously worried that they would pass the Titans in the division. Maybe if they had lost to someone else, but the Jags??? Football is a funny game sometimes.

Blaine Kennedy

No excuses, Frank’s friendship with Carson cost us this season. He refuses to blame wentz for anything and wentz refuses to take any blame himself. I am extremely disappointed with the way our season went with the team that we have. I would not blame JT at all for looking for a way out to a team that would actually use his talent.

    J Jackson

So what about the line. Wentz was under pressure all game. Wrs no separation. Defense got no turnovers. Jt got stopped twice with one yard to go

    Blaine Kennedy

@J Jackson The line didn’t cost us the season, they cost us the game. Carson Wentz cost the season.

    Harry Greene

@Blaine Kennedy Not sure how 1 player can cost the Colts the season. There’s enough blame to go around. Tannehill threw twice as many interceptions as Wentz this year and he has a first round bye. How did that happen?

    Harry Greene

    @Blaine Kennedy ok

Duane Greer

Carson “Hats off to the other team” Wentz.

Carson Wentz 2017- I have to do a better job. I gotta protect the football better, hats off to the other team.
Carson Wentz 2018- I have to do a better job. I gotta protect the football better, hats off to the other team.
Carson Wentz 2019- I have to do a better job. I gotta protect the football better, hats off to the other team.
Carson Wentz 2020- I have to do a better job. I gotta protect the football better, hats off to the other team.
Carson Wentz 2021- I have to do a better job. I gotta protect the football better, hats off to the other team.

Glad i don’t have to deal with this anymore ! 😂 #EaglesNation

    Laura Splicer

Dont forget his frequent duck.hunting trips through the week prior to.game.!!

A smile on my face but a Demon inside

Well the colts were looking for consistency at the QB position!

Jonny Mac

Coach Reich is a great coach. Happy we have him.
