John Mara, please give Joe the Freedom he needs to work his magic. Let him hire whoever he feels is the right person without any pressure from you. Thank you

Joe Shoen wouldn’t have gone to NYG if he wasn’t going to get full control.

He’s going to revamp the whole Football system.

    Chris Favreau

It’s been widely reported that he has the keys to the car… But obviously the ownership is going to ok at least the HC hire, as is their right since they are signing the check. Either way, I think that the Giants way is going to change

    Kenji Mapes

The Giants told him he has carte blanche I hate people losing their jobs but Schoen needs to shake up the front office from top to bottom I think some of our scouts need to go as they have been failing us We have picked some good players but we have neglected some positions namely the offensive line & also haven’t hit on many in 3rd-7th round where scouts & GMs really make their money. He needs to revamp the scouting to the analytics to the medical staff. I applaud John Mara for finally deciding things needed to change. I love that the Giants are a family run & family like team but loyalty can bite you too. It makes you keep underperforming staff & the Giants have keep the same guys there despite changing GMs & despite continual failed drafts & picks. This is an exciting time. We have a new GM with a fresh vision & soon a new head coach. We had a losing season but we do have some talent on this team & tons of draft picks. We have to be patient but also know they can turn things around pretty quickly. I am not saying we’ll be ready to win Super Bowl next year but I think they can revamp things so we have a more competitive team on the field that is trending upward rather than stagnating

    Robert Mazzarachio

    They both said Carte Blance

Chris Favreau

This is a very in depth interview… definitely interesting

William Figueroa

Positive move by the Giants, I see things heading to a new direction!

    oldschoolfan

That’s what they said about gettlefatman. Let’s see how his draft picks work out and the record next year.

    William Figueroa

@oldschoolfan not true, Joe shoen is outside the box!

Jon Broster

Great interview John

Joe Russo

5 picks in the first 3 founds. at this point he can’t miss on those picks. we will see.

Robert Adelman

one of the best interviews you’ve ever done, excellent. this dude knows his stuff.

Buffalo Beatle

vic is always on WGRZ in buffalo why use “former”

Sal

vic knows his stuff believe it

beefoneeto

Sounds like the GIants with Golladay and Toney except those two were injured much of the time.BTW the healthiest the Giants were on Offense all year was against the Saints.Jones had 400 yds and made key pass after key pass to win in overtime.

JBX.

Oh God help us. Another Joe…hopefully he can elevate our Giant’s…. Go Joe…

Brian Curry

Great hire, Dabol next 4 HC.. BTW John,
as usual a great insightful interview… Kenny Pickett or Daniel Jones. I’d like to see online strengthen to see what DJ can actually do with a real o-line

King Tynan - The Dark Lion TM

You want an OC who averages 14-18 pts per game? Having Josh Allen was a benefit to him like Peyton Manning was a benefit to Adam Gase. Daboll struggles in developing players. He got lucky with Josh Allen. Won’t be lucky with DJ. Example, Josh McDaniels is a better choice for OC. Developed offense for Tebow to succeed in. Developed Brady from good to GOAT qb.

Robert Mazzarachio

Great video and insights John I strongly feel Shoen is the right man for this job

Richard Carter

Best breakdown I’ve heard on Schoen.

NYG_Relentle$$_00

He looks like a bills version of John shmelk 😂

Jacob Ball

This will get a lot if pushback and I’m very happy we’ve made these moves. Am I the only one to say that Gettleman tried? He’s not a bad human being. He just failed as our GM. I’m very excited. Happy we’re moving on. But this notion that Gettleman is just the worst person in the world… cmon guys. He did his best. It just wasn’t good enough. I hope he remains healthy and has a long life

King Tynan - The Dark Lion TM

Yes you might be the only. Gettleman was dishonest to the fan base. Honesty or no comment is best for the GMs. To flat lie will anger a fan base!

Jacob Ball

I just mean to say.. can we act like adults? Or human beings in general. We’re all frustrated but there are several other factors. I did not want to keep Gettleman I just hate that people are trying to ruin his life. Leave him alone. We are moving forward

Geo fromNJ

Drafting players to fit the schemes of the coaching staff works great until the team changes coaches and new schemes are introduced.

Pike Bishop

If Joe Schoen believes in a “team first” standard, he should not hire Brian Flores as the Giants’ head coach.

beefoneeto

The Defense has to stop the other team AND get the ball back for the Offense. The bend don’t break D just kills off minutes and gives the Offense less opportunities.
