I miss Minka

secret agent Zachary of San Jose Boston Partsch

It’s a good thing that Hunter Bryant is in our mock draft but I really hope that we can just keep keeping him and then I really hope that the Steelers will trade Johnny holton to the Tampa Bay buccaneers for Mike Evans but I don’t think it’s not going to happen

    ybz Resby

secret agent Zachary of San Jose Boston Partsch NOBODY GIVING UP MIKE EVANS FOR JOHNNY HOLTON but if the buccaneers crazy go for it now

    joebrown

    @ybz Resby lol wtf

    joebrown

Johnny Holton is a practice player my friend! lol

Omar Contreras

we need a better and new and improved ofensive linemen coach period!

    Ryan Maliek

Omar Contreras Oh ya. The loss of Munchack cannot be overstated.

    Omar Contreras

@Ryan Maliek lets see the results….

    jw1

@Ryan Maliek Yeah just look how good Denver’s O line was……oh wait, they were awful.

    Ryan Maliek

jw1 Thats because they need better Oline players. Pittsburgh has a very good group. Their production dropped significantly when Munchack left. That’s no coincidence.

SPONGEBOB MEME

I just hope Benny stays a big powerful power back

    DavidEric1414

Benny will be great, just need to boost the offensive line

    jw1

@DavidEric1414 Saying benny will be great is a huge reach. He is what he is. A hard working guy with very little speed and almost no shiftiness. He’ll give you all he has but he’ll never be great.

DSG

It would be nice to take the approach this season and as long as ben is on the team we should take the Denver Broncos 98,99 season when they ran the ball with Terrell Davis and helping out john elway so alot don’t have to be in his hands with the offensive. Run / play actions pass it the key I believe for the offensive next season.

2nd round TE

Jeff Loudenslager

Try doing that with the coaches,

Ryan Maliek

Might as well keep Connor since he’s still on his rookie deal and relatively cheap. I’d like to see him moved to second string behind Snell, since he (Connor) has horrible injury problems.

    jw1

His named is spelled Conner (nitpicking I know but nearly everyone spells it wrong) and Snell isn’t a long term solution at Rb.

    Ryan Maliek

jw1 We don’t know what Snell will be yet. He was just a rookie last year. He did good in his starts and overall. Ya, not sure about Connor/Conner spelling. I go with Connor because of Highlander.

Joeschmoe Dontjaknow

They should take the best run blocking offensive lineman available. If that guy is projected to still be on the board by our 2nd pick then take him with our 2nd pick and the best running back available with our 1st. But if he is projected to come off the board before our 2nd pick then take him, the best RUN blocking offensive lineman available, with our 1st pick.

    DavidEric1414

Agreed, OL needs to be first priority. Huge TE or RB next.

    Joeschmoe Dontjaknow

Yep. Our o line did a great job pass blocking. It was almost painful to watch the o line kill themselves to give those qbs all the time they had. Those guys had like 5 to 6 seconds back there. Other than maybe the first browns game where the left side of the line got destroyed. And they would be fine if we had a super elite passer back there who was also in the perfect system. Like mahomes and reid. Or brady and belichick. But we dont. We got an enormously beat up aging qb coming off a big injury and a half way decent qb with rudolph. We need to establish a run game. That does not mean we simply need to run the ball more. It means we need the right personal. Coaching and players. Through the big ben years we progressed into an offense that imposes its will on defenses via the pass. But those days are over. For now anyway. They need to build design train coach play call whatever, an offense that can impose its will on defenses via the run. That means a young strong fast smart o lineman that can blow his man off the line of scrimmage. That way while we play the find the right qb game, that could realistically take a decade or longer, we got our strength in the run game.

Solomon Smith

2nd round TE or Lineman especially with Ben not being too mobile we need better blocking than we had last year…. It helps Big Ben and the run game, because I believe our backs have potential

    jw1

Also didn’t help that Mason and Duck took 10 seconds to go through their reads

IPushHard

I’m kinda sick of the finesse football. Side car running… etc. We dont even have a power running game anymore. If we had ANY run game last season we are in the playoffs. Didnt happen. It was just stupid.
Yea, its a “passing league” these days but that doesnt mean that the Steelers have to follow the herd all the time.
Grab a RB a TE and an interior OL and get on with 2020. If they draft smart we stand a shot next season.

Greg Hill

Receivers was a liability Ben didn’t look good from the start

Greg Hill

Conner was a feel good story but time for him to go

Greg Hill

I think it’s pretty screwed but that Ben waited 1 game into the season to have his arm looked at, you can’t make me believe that he didn’t know something was wrong

DavidEric1414

Offensive line should be first priority, both in new players and coaching. Also, a big and fast tight end.

Willie Sherman

Need a defensive end fullback running back and tight end.Bring back power ,speed, and technique.

Willie Sherman

Lift weights it’s a steel City.firm up like the product.
