As a giant fan I have to say it was emotional for me. I started being a Giants fan when Phil Simms was quarterback. But Eli had a bigger spot in my heart. And I have to say this. I think Jerry Reese wasted some good prime years of Eli Manning. Eli played behind some really awful offensive lines but he never called anybody out he was a class act! he deserves to finish out the rest of the year. Too many Giants fans thought Eli was the problem but he wasn’t.

    Chris P

Any real fan would know it was the o line because even these last few terrible years when eli had at least average protection hed make plays. Its hard to make plays when people are ripping through the oline every snap like theres nobody there..

    Rico Suave

@Michael Kimball I feel Ernie Accorsi layed out the blueprint that year. Everything was set. The Sundae was made. All it needed was the cherry on top.
Jerry Reese is the worst thing to ever happen to us. He drove Shockey away as soon as he came in. Shockey was a GREAT Tight End. Eli never had a weapon like that again.
The Giants used to be a respectable classy franchise but Reese brought in all these losers who care solely about themselves & think they’re better than the team. Only wanting to be in New York to get bigger outside deals from sponsors to acquire more clout for themselves. Where it became more about padding your personal stats than team wins.
Look at the mess that happened with MacAdoo. He lost the entire locker room. Everybody did whatever they wanted. That was all Jerry’s work.
Like you said he butchered the draft every single year & never addressed the O-line costing us championships.
He’ll never get another job ever again as a GM.

@Jay H I agree with everything you said and I hope we get rid of all the coaches and start over. We need a head coach that has experience with offense and defense…

    lipz Speights

@Jay H I agree and our Iron man is gone as I said for years us Giants fans will definitely miss Eli but him being the Iron man is best within itself we knew he was gonna b on the field every Sunday. Danny Dimes idk…

    Maria Gregg
