In my growing up years, Donnie Shell was one of my favorite Steelers. This is throughout the 80s, of course that was after the Glory Days of the 70s but I always felt he was one of the veterans that kept the team together during that time frame.
It’s a crime that he has not been in the Hall of Fame in all these years. He retired after the 1987 season. That will be 33 years come this season.
