Well let’s give it a go. Personally I’d have preferred McDaniels but will have faith in Ryan/Matt 2.0 unless they give me reason not to.
McDaniels who failed in Denver , screwed over the colts and no belicheck coach has been successful

Every good, bad, or great head coach had their first chance at being a head coach for the first time.
I know he will be better than Nagy. Just by a few things he said in his interview “We are going to match the scheme to the talent we have” “least penalized”

The closest guy to matt eberflus is Frank reich he know how eberflus is because they both work together in Colts organization I want eberflus to be successful

I love Eberflus already! Everything Frank mentioned about Eberflus as a coach and person is true. you can see it in eberflus face and the way he acts! If you watch the videos of him coaching you can see it as well!

You can already tell a few of the biggest immediate differences between Nagy’s style and Eberflus’ is a focus on effort, discipline and holding players accountable. I am looking forward to seeing it in action on the field.
Very good assessment of our new coach. Keyword in my opinion is adapt. Hopefully this will be applied significantly next season and throughout his tenure. 🐻⬇️
Fresh starts are always nice. Hope we can just be in the convo for the playoffs next season. Not expecting anything other than just being relevant in season 1. We can build from that.
I’m excited. I like hearing that a coach wants to adapt to the players and opponents. rather than the playbook he brought with him and force scheme.

Obviously at this point it’s all talk and we need to see it in action, but I am encouraged by the fact that I’ve heard several times now about how he will adapt to what his players do best. We saw how awful it was with a guy like Nagy who absolutely refused to adapt to his players in any way, shape or form. Let’s hope this is accurate and Eberflus has a clear philosophy on both sides of the ball, but will design what they do around what his players do well.
