#41 Tristan Wirfs (OT, Buccaneers) Top 100 Players in 2022 – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

Solid tackle and athletic af he’s gonna be a top tackle for years to come

    Trey R

Not solid he’s best in the league

    christian both

    Solid ?

Ayden Saiz

I always thought he was easily the best Tackle in the 2020 big 4

    Trey R

    He is the best

    michael _2xx

    He’s not

    erik puka

Idk about that. Andrew Thomas was really great last yr. I think Mekhi Becton was great in 2020 when he played – just hasn’t been healthy.
Its just a bit easier to look
    great when :
    1. You got solid players around you like Wirfs does (A.Thomas had nobody good near him – all backups)
    2. Blocking for Brady is the easiest job ever for a tackle. He takes the power away from the DLineman by the way he plays the pocket. Tony Boselli said it in an interview. Blocking for D.Jones has its flaws. Daniel Jones will always take terrible stupid sacks and hold the ball long. Nobody takes less stupid sacks than Brady. He avoids disaster and got eyes in the back of his head. Even Matt Light look great blocking for Brady (exposed as one of thw worst in the Nfl when Brady did not play in 08′), Trent Brown (exposed in Las Vegas and San Francisco), Nate Soldier looked good w Brady- got exposed with the very Giants alongside A.Thomas
    3. Wirfs plays for a great successful team. So the hype will be there. I think Slater is clearly a better version of him. Similar but better. Does everything limda better. Just did not have as much team success. Chargers missed playoffs.
    4. Playing right tackle is easier than playing left tackle (thats why the money is better at left). Its the QBs non blindside 99%. The QB can see the RT. The pass rushers are usually worse in your side(teams put their best guy vs left tackle) and the TE is to the strong side usually near the Right Tackle aka Gronkowski helped near Wirfs a lot.
Not saying Those dudes are better than Wirfs (even though they might be) but he walked into a way better situation and has had it easier than Mekhi Becton and Andrew Thomas.

I still have nightmares of my team deciding to TRADE DOWN on draft night 2020 and pass up Wirfs for always-hurt Javon Kinlaw🤦🏾‍♂️

Bro that’s what I’m saying! And we need Oline help more than ever now!

    Tony G

John Lynch did us a solid.

    AWDRE AWDRE

Trent and wirfs at both tackle positions is nasty

    Underrated

We could definitely use some help on the o line too 😂

    erik puka

@AWDRE AWDRE they got McGlinchey at right tackle. They needed A DT. Needed a WR too and got Ayuk

Ajax attacks

Needs to be top 25 bro. Already top 3 OTs in the NFL after only 2 seasons and he won’t get worse from here.

    Sports Talk

I’d say top 5, Trent, bakhtiari when healthy and Tyron smith are better imo

    Connor Calder

What linemen are gonna be ranked above him? Top 3 OT doesn’t necessarily mean Top 25 player.

    sid srivastava

    @Connor Calder It should.

    Connor Calder

@sid srivastava No it shouldn’t – It doesn’t work that way because you have way more skill position players that will land in top 25.

    Emi Mocanu

facts, this year he’s gonna ascend to being the best player on any offensive line, he’s just that good

Otto Ludema

Iowa has good tight ends and o-linemen

Stone Colds

This man should be in the twenties If not low thirties

Contingency IBCT

Dude is a monster on the field, and a good person off it.

He’s this low because he’s a RT, not a LT.

I remember not being able to watch the first few games of the Buccs and saw the clip of Mack lifting Wirfs and I was like, “Oh boy. Tom will always be in his ears.” At the end of the season, he only allowed one tackle. WOW. Was I wrong for only believing one clip.

jrad410

He really coulda been the difference maker in that Rams game. Special athlete.
