tmac1496

4th and 1 will stick with me like 28 to 3. OMG. It really looks like they were doing just enough to look like the they are not Tanking. 4th and 1 for ***ks sakes.

Big B Luke

The defense went to a soft zone in the 4th quarter, Jonathan Vilma said as much. The db’s were obviously back and that gave Winston open receivers to throw to. If you dominate a team for 3 quarters with what you are doing, why do you change it?!!

    Big B Luke

@Cinaed Mac Seamas But where was the long ball in the first 3 quarters? Because ATL played man, they broke up passes that would have produced first downs and possibly, touchdowns. I believe the Saints may have hit a big play, but not, almost methodically, move down the field to score they way they did in the fourth. You trusted your defense and they delivered for 3 quarters, why not in the fourth? Why not, for one more quarter, continue what you are doing? It may have produced more sacks or possibly more turnovers.

    Cinaed Mac Seamas

@Big B Luke Winston to Landry sealed the deal, gave them the opportunity to kick the field goal, then after the penalty they did it again and then kicked the field goal to take and keep the lead.

Mariota’s fumble hurt badly to not gain the first down. That was pivotal.

    Kenjie Davis

    @Big B Luke Amen!

    Kenjie Davis

@Cinaed Mac Seamas Mariota’s fumble did hurt, but none of that would have mattered if we didn’t switch to a soft zone and and GAVE UP 17 POINTS!

    David Brooks

I agree completely… I keep saying this same thing… why change something that’s working!!!????

2thousand

We would have won if we didn’t fumble in a key time, every one knows in this league you have to average 30 points a game too win

    Big B Luke

So true, the Falcons do not have the margin of error to turn the ball over multiple times and still win

    Kenjie Davis

Fumble hurt? Yes! But the soft zone in 4th quarter hurt more!

Yall can say what you want…Im excited about this Falcons Team even with the loss.
They did everything the talking heads said they wouldnt do and couldnt do.
1. They ran the ball at will.
2. They dominated the trenches both sides of the ball.
3. Not only did they get pressure they got sacks…something noone believed they could do.
4. They had the Saints shook.
Bad stuff
1.The Falcons celebrated a lil too early.
2. Had a lot of costly penelties
3. Had very costly turn-overs
4. Went away from what got them the Lead.

Listen folks you heard it here first and you will continue to hear it from me…This Team is going to win a lot of games this yr. And they most definitely not the worse roster in the NFL. You can kill all that talk.

Aurther and Pease just need to tweek a few thing here and there make a few minor calibrations and boom these boys taking off off!

You already see it…it’s there. A few corrections here and there and we on lil guy.

    Keith Collins jr

I understand that but it’s the typical falcons take off in the first three quarters then let teams back and win the game in the fourth quarter

    Pieces 4 Purpose

Your comment needs to be pinned! #RiseUp

    Kenjie Davis

@BOWLINGBALL99LB Tweek #1: Kill the soft zone!

    Sadee Wingfield

    And they loss as usual

    BOWLINGBALL99LB

@Kenjie Davis exactly. Coach Smith did not decide to go for it on 4th and 1 and not put their o back on field. Well we lost 1 but these guys are getting that feeling that they know they can win each time and thats the bottom line

G G

I just witnessed a full blown second line Saints parade in an Atlanta Walmart so if you are a Falcons fan don’t think a blown lead and loss to the Saints isn’t bad because it’s just one game let meet and fight😩😂😩

    Baby Girl

That was not in Atlanta. It was in Louisiana. Look at the sign in the video. Them folks trying to go viral.

    Kenneth Bowman

Who cares. The Falcons gone be alright

scott Schindele

This is our M. O. This is what we do !!! And we will continue to lose until we play 4 quarters of football !!!!!!

    Darrell Fambro

Facts a football game is 60 minutes or more

November

Smart and positive breakdown by S, T, A. Keith K mentioned reserve players were in defense in the 4th quarter. Ask Dean Pees why? Thank you for Final Whistle.

2validdsean

Man we have got to finish games we can’t be so hype in the first half then go into the second and lost it all…..SMH 😒

K Greene

The Atlanta Falcons need to adapt the mentality of playing to win. Simple as that. I only seen it maybe once in that entire game and that was before the half when Koo kicked another field goal because they got down the field fast.

Ryan Hooper

No mention of the non usage or Pitts or London in red zone ? Or Smith refusing to go for it twice on 4th down?

d.Jerome

It’s not that they loss it’s how they loss. They blew a 4th quarter league after dominating the entire game and choked. I’m tired of all my friends laughing at me when I pick the falcons. Everytime I’m on Facebook it’s an embarrassment cheering for this crap

Melatainment

Positives
1. Mcgary looked great and the O line DOMINATED
2. Offense looked great overall
3. D line and lbs got home against the pass

Negatives
1. Run fits looked bad
2. Stop fumbling
3. Need better play calling when it matters (D and O)

Sam

It’s been years of praising how we looked for the first three quarters. How can we take ANYTHING positive away from the same old Falcons choke?

Be positive about the first 3/4’s of the game all you want, but we’re the same as we’ve always been.

CwaveDave

Don’t like they got away from what worked for them in 1st half.

David Brooks

1 play doesn’t make us or break us!!!
The fact that we quit putting pressure on Winston the whole 4th quarter. With a prevent defense is what killed us!!
We should have already learned this from the past!!!
Quit playing soft… when you have the lead..point blank!!!

Albert Domingo

4th quarter’s last 3 minutes time management & a common sense. that’s why we lost. no excuse.

Dre Harrison

Relax people. Keep the same energy when the kinks are worked out. From my seat the Falcons were the better team. We ran the ball at will and threw the ball at will. The defense got 4 sacks and the secondary was solid. Adopt a keep the foot on the gas mentality and we win. The team has to exercise the demon pf giving up leads and I believe we will not see a loss like this again this season.

SWLION

Oh I can so relate to this as a Lions fan. It just seems like whenever the Falcons needed a play in crunch time, offense or defense, they just couldn’t get it. I didn’t see the game, but would not surprise me if the Falcons offense and defense went away from what was working earlier.
