The Seahawks added an experienced and versatile cornerback to their secondary by signing cornerback Artie Burns.

After missing the 2020 season with a torn ACL, Burns had a strong 2021 season with Chicago playing under defensive coordinator Sean Desai, who is now in Seattle as the associate head coach-defense.

He played great in Chicago.. TERRIBLE in Pitts.. Good signing by Seattle. Zero risk, full upside. Carroll routinely coaches secondary players well above their talent. I am glad Seattle (as a Seattle fan since the early 90s) is not spending big money on the corner position. It was fine last year… so was Diggs/Adams… the biggest issue with Seattle’s pass defense was the front 7. Seattle sported the worst linebacking pass coverage unit in the NFL.
