One thing I can’t understand is why Washington doesn’t run so many things underneath for scary terry. He can stretch the field we know but across the middle or a quick underneath slant he can get open all the time.
Not sure. I don’t want Terry running routes in the middle of the field, especially without a tight end. I want Terry outside of the numbers.

@Daquan Wiltshire Glizzy who cares if it’s successful? The fact that he is successful in the check down tells me he’s thinking and not just throwing the ball. He has guys isn’t afraid to stay in the pocket longer and isn’t afraid to scramble when he needs to. My only issue is he’s good for one interception a game consistently. But that will get better with time. He has put more heart and success into the QB position at Washington then Alex smith and Carson wentz put together

As a colts fan, I agree with you. That play just shows how much the game of football is a game of inches. Had Gilmore come down with that ball, that would have been the game winner. Just inches from the endzone which would have been a heartbreaking loss for you guys.
Instead Scary Terry reminds my GM Ballard of why he made a mistake drafting Campbell over him and wripped it out of Gilmore’s hands. Just a phenomenal catch on one of the best DB’s in the game. So I simply tip my cap to him and you guys. Good game.

As soon as McLaurin made the catch on the 1 yard line he took his helmet off. I was convince a flag was coming out and was going to push Washington back to the 15-16 but they never called it. @Greg Greene you are correct. He should have been flagged. However, considering how amazing of a catch he made, I don’t blame him for doing it. Although even if the refs called it, the way Terry was playing, he would have gotten that TD one way or the other.
Although it actually helped us that they didn’t flag it, since them scoring quickly gave us a little time to get into FG range. Which, had Pittman not dropped that beautiful pass from Sam, would have been a very real possibility.
But it doesn’t matter. This was a close one that could have gone either way. The refs didn’t decide this one. They made more plays than we did in crucual moments, which is why they won. Simple as that.

Ehlingers off hand pass at the end was a Mahomes kind of pass , he looks very promising he clearly got the first down when he ran and slid but they marked him back

Heineke is the definition of moxie. Not the best athlete or arm, but he competes, sometimes on sheer willpower alone. You can’t not like the guy.. he maximizes what he’s got.

He may need to put up more points against us though. But it won’t be an easy game for us next week. Your defense is playing well too. You are are back in it, hungry , and you’re at home. As a colts fan I’m happy with what Elingher did it was his first start in the NFL with the team officially being his and he did some really good things. Congrats to the commanders on the win tho.

As an old Texas fan, I’m pleased with how Ehlinger did as well. A few times he seemed a little nervous with pressure and the pocket collapsing, not making a decision on what to do as quickly as he probably should, but not really unexpected.
That dropped pass on the second to last play was quite unfortunate, and also his 3rd down run that came up inches short on their 2nd to last possession.
