@YM 51 Haskins got progressively better as season wore on and he got more reps with starters and experience. Played well against a Bills team that Brady had trouble with. Haskins haven’t even started 10 games but ppl wanna write him off. PFF looks at every throwing metric so imma go with their evaluation on this one.

Might as well just leave Minshew off the list if Jones and Haskins are ranked 3 and 2.
Minshew is gonna get ruined since he doesn’t have any help.
-Jones never played a snap with all 5 weapons fully healthy. In fact he only dropped back 77 times with only 4 of his weapons, and had a passer rating of 100.7.
-Jones is the only QB in the league who has 3000+ yds with no 750+ yd WR, no 470+ yd TE, & no 450+ yd RB receiving. Every QB has 1 or 2 or all 3, however Jones is the only QB without none of those 3.
-Jones in 9 starts with Saquon on the field

Minshew was the best rookie QB last season. Had young recievers and still have balled out. He was also a 6th round pick. He needs more love. Should be #1 on this list.

I think there’s a valid argument Haskins will be better. Obviously, Jones outplayed him last year. But with Haskins, he got better every single game. His first few starts he was awful, but by the end of the season, the Redskins were staying in every game and even winning a few (Haskins has a higher win % than Jones). In contrast, though not the be-all-end-all of figures, Jones had all of his best games earlier on in the year, and kind of fizzled out toward the end. Continuing forward, we now see Haskins has lost ~20 pounds over the offseason and been working really hard in the gym. I think it’s quite possible, even reasonable to suspect we might see a completely different Dwayne Haskins in 2020. One capable of carrying his team to a pretty good record, especially considering the addition of HC Ron Rivera and a lot of great defensive talent.
He forgets Jones had no o-line, and always was missing offensive weapons

@Dewitt McDidditt Jay Gruden did NOT want Haskins or any rookie QB wanted to start Colt McCoy. Gruden did not prepare Haskins or tried to develop a rookie, then threw him into the game vs Giants unprepared no reps no plan for him. After Gruden got fired Haskins began to get the practice reps and game rep experience and like you said he progressively got better. Expect Haskins to have a break out season this year, especially since the defense will be much improved under Jack Del Rio and Washington will be in every game. Haskins will have opportunity to develop.

Stop comparing Jones whole season vs Haskins 7 starts lol.
Jones threw 4 more Tds but turnover machine.
Kyler played the whole season and got a chance to improve Haskins was improving but haven’t yet played even 10 games.

As a Broncos fan, when we drafted Drew Lock, I was SO disappointed that we picked him bc I felt like there was better QB’s available at the time. Now I regret me saying that bc with everything we’ve got on offense, us and the Chiefs r gonna be 1 and 2 in the AFC West for the next 10 years!
