@Trey Maybe watch the video and understand what it’s about before commenting. It’s not the best fullbacks, it’s the most iconic or the “fullbackiest fullbacks”.
I got a buddy that played for the Raiders at the same time and meeting Richie. Yeah that big bump on his forehead calloused over and over and over again. It looked permanent and was thinking this is the toughest dude on the team.
Don’t forget about William “Bar none” Floyd with the San Francisco 49ers.
I don’t think that Alstott was on there because he is probably seen as a RB as well as a FB. The title”Fullbackiest Fullbacks” kind of shows how they were looking at.
His position was always listed as FB, not RB.

@RN 87 but when you make your bread carrying the ball you aren’t a fb. Just like the edge/LB difference, you wouldn’t rank tj watt with Darius Leonard. Fbs aren’t exclusively blockers but alstott was lining up at tailback and frequently spending time as rb1 or rb2 for the bucs.
One of the best fullbacks in the game.

I think Mike isn’t on here because this is more of a blocking oriented type list. I’m not sure why A-Train didn’t make the list but I’m assuming thats why. Although he was a great blocker.

Braxton not being on the list is B.S.! Braxton blocked for O.J. Simpson for years! The Bills would have been mediocre without Braxton!
BTW Madden talked about Braxton every time he called a Bills Game!
Fullbacks are ppl too! There used to be a time where fullbacks got the ball just as much if not more than the half back. There’s plenty of guys out there that are good ball carriers at Fullback, just give em the ball!

Tony Richardson, Tom Rathman, Mike Alstott, Lorenzo Neal. Best that ever played FB.
Alstott’s talent was used as as running back and a fullback. His roster listing is fullback.
Lorenzo was also a div 1 wrestler. I remember at Fresno State he would step up to wrestle and you could see the opponent cringe.
We cannot forget about James Ivy League Devlin. Guy went to brown university and came into the pats backfield and just lit guys up.
