Top 5 Most Iconic Fullbacks in NFL History – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Mike Williams

Lorenzo Neal was a beast!!!

Gibran Bedra

Tom Rathman… Mike Alstott… really? How are those two missing?

    Chris Journeay

    ^ All of this

    Trey

Glad I came to the comments before watching. Cause leaving mike alstott out is wild

    ScuzzySock

    @Trey
I guess he was too versatile if that makes sense.

    Liam Spencer

@Trey Maybe watch the video and understand what it’s about before commenting. It’s not the best fullbacks, it’s the most iconic or the “fullbackiest fullbacks”.

Kim Farrison

I got a buddy that played for the Raiders at the same time and meeting Richie. Yeah that big bump on his forehead calloused over and over and over again. It looked permanent and was thinking this is the toughest dude on the team.

tonyAlm3ida1

Don’t forget about William “Bar none” Floyd with the San Francisco 49ers.

Will Power

I don’t think that Alstott was on there because he is probably seen as a RB as well as a FB. The title”Fullbackiest Fullbacks” kind of shows how they were looking at.

    Rusty Shackelford

His position was always listed as FB, not RB.
This list is a phuking joke!

Anthony Machado

Not having Alstott on the list is a crime

    Liam Spencer

Too many people in this comment chain didn’t watch the video and/or are too dumb to understand the premise.

    Couldn’t believe it

    Mike Hardesty

@RN 87 but when you make your bread carrying the ball you aren’t a fb. Just like the edge/LB difference, you wouldn’t rank tj watt with Darius Leonard. Fbs aren’t exclusively blockers but alstott was lining up at tailback and frequently spending time as rb1 or rb2 for the bucs.

    phillyfan182

One of the best fullbacks in the game.

    Kevin Kerns

Trent Richardson missing is kinda weird too. I expected one of them to be 1 since I hadn’t seen them lol

Josiah Paige

I think Mike isn’t on here because this is more of a blocking oriented type list. I’m not sure why A-Train didn’t make the list but I’m assuming thats why. Although he was a great blocker.

daniel gerber

Ok, how could you leave Tom Rathman off the list? Way better than Moose Johnston. Head and shoulders above Ritchie. Kyle, you’re suffering from recency bias.

MOOSEPRIME98

Definitely one of my favorite positions in football 🏈

Steve

No love for Mike Alstott? Really? I haven’t seen this much disrespect for the man since Jon Gruden called him Mark Alstott. 😡😡😡

Autismo13

How do u not have Mike Alstott on this list.

B P

Braxton not being on the list is B.S.! Braxton blocked for O.J. Simpson for years! The Bills would have been mediocre without Braxton!
BTW Madden talked about Braxton every time he called a Bills Game!

KAMO

Fullbacks are ppl too! There used to be a time where fullbacks got the ball just as much if not more than the half back. There’s plenty of guys out there that are good ball carriers at Fullback, just give em the ball!

Zach Melear

How do you not have Tom Rathman on this list?! He revolutionized the position in that west coast offense!!

    Gilbert Amis

right?! good ol’ tom was a beast too.

Mike Hardesty

Everyone’s so mad about mike alstott not being on the list but mike alstott was a featured tailback up until his final 2-3 seasons.

GC33

I knew it LORENZO NEAL for the Chargers and blocking for Ladainian Tomlinson. Those were the days shout out southern Cali (619) 🌴

Dan Burch

Tony Richardson, Tom Rathman, Mike Alstott, Lorenzo Neal. Best that ever played FB.

Robert Diehl

Alstott’s talent was used as as running back and a fullback. His roster listing is fullback.

bigern

Lorenzo was also a div 1 wrestler. I remember at Fresno State he would step up to wrestle and you could see the opponent cringe.

michael raymond

We cannot forget about James Ivy League Devlin. Guy went to brown university and came into the pats backfield and just lit guys up.
