Cooper doesn’t need to be as good as dak. Just good enough (or lucky) to not make mistakes and do enough to win the game. Play to the defense and run the ball. This formula works. It’s been used by plenty of other teams hampered by poor quarterback play. It won’t win superbowls but keep the bus on the road till dak gets back. If he wins one more in 3 going 1-2 then he’s 50/50 which is all we can ask for.

    @Deezboyz Justwin I feel like their approach with kellen is they pass to run. Not run to pass. Attempts say so but either way I’m agreeing they should run more. Regardless especially with this defense.

Broaddus made a good point about Dak Prescott. Alot of fans gripe about Dak holding the ball too long, but there’s a reason for that. Dak Prescott doesn’t trust certain guys to catch the ball. He doesn’t have a problem letting it rip with Brown or Shultz, but the others have yet to earn his trust.

    That’s really either his fault for not working with those kids enough or the team’s failure for Drafting guys that aren’t able to learn The Playbook.

    @James Taylor that’s one option, but if the defender happens to intercept the ball, then people will still blame Dak Prescott. So I understand why he hesitates in those situations. Dak Prescott is a good Quarterback, but he needs his teammates to be on the same page with him. Ceedee Lamb hasn’t proven much in his first three seasons, so he needs to step his game up

Good win by the defense. Cooper is a backup QB so you can’t expect him to win you a game, esp with how limited he is so the defense has to do the heavy lifting.

Nothing “safe” about the passes Rush completed. Pocket collapsing, hands in his face, releasing passes before the WR breaks, putting it between 3 or 4 defenders.. Romo even commented, “he’s making it look easy, but it’s not”

I hope Cowboy’s fans realize what a rare treat they have in Micah Parsons. He’s a Once-In-A-Lifetime football player, so cherish and enjoy his play. He IS the best player on the field in every game he plays. I wish Moore would get that 3rd RB off the PS so our OL can hammer opponents late in the game and then bring in a FRESH Back! That would kill opponents if you have a lead! Because I thought this game was controlled by our D, for the most part. But both our Lines played pretty well and if we win in the trenches, we win win game, so long as we don’t beat ourselves!

people keep saying “this is what we need to do with Rush”..it’s probably the same way we need to call the game with Dak..run the ball, give him some easier throws, play action and take deep shots when u can..and if Dak doesn’t turn the ball over we usually win..maybe trynna call the game different for Dak is part of the problem cuz he’s not always consistent..

    @Dustin Ogletree yeah absolutely..that’s part of what made Dak more effective even when he struggled at times throwing his first few yrs..if he’s really as healthy as they say(lower body) then they need to let Dak run at least enough to be a threat for teams to worry about..

Parsons absolutely won this game. Sure, 2 sacks is great. But he also had 10 of the 15 QB pressures. And on at least 5 of those resulted in a throw-away. On like 3 more he had Burrow running around & off time of the play. And like 2 others he helped force a sack for a teammate.

Broaddus is right. The stat of the game is Burrow 199. And to limit Chase to basically nothing (think he was 2 for 14 on Diggs and just 5 for 54 for the game). I mean we’re talking about the most dangerous QB/WR duo in the league…especially since Rogers/Adams is no more. Stafford/Kupp are the most productive but without a doubt Burrow/Chase is the most dangerous (Cousins/Jefferson probably next) cause on any given play they might bust you for a 62 yard TD.

And to think, Dallas doesn’t have many great QB/WR duos left anymore. Just the Rams & Vikings…that means this defense is about to feast on 13 sub-par to good QB/WR threats.

Noah Brown certainly broke out in this game. And that’s what Dallas needs. Dak & Cooper are gonna need a WR3 they can rely on. And 5 targets for 5 catches is exactly what you need from those unsung guys. They gotta maximize their plays if they wanna get ahead in this league.

And I really do love the run blocking this team can do. Really been impressed with TS & Farniak. They’ve been paving roads so far. But also Ferguson and Schultz. They’re doing a much better job than what we got from Schultz & Jarwin last year.

I just hope that Kellen Moore can stick to this run game formula. Let Zeke handle the A & B gaps, let Pollard work the B & C gaps & you’ll be getting the most out of these guys. Throw in a little Turpin or CeeDee reverses/jet sweeps.
