@Jean Vieira And by the way i would have traded the second pick for 3 first rounders and more to build the team. The Jets made the championship games with Sanchez who wasn’t that good (12 td 20 int in 09) but with a good team. Last year Deshaun Watson was great. The Texans won 4 games. You need to team to surround the quarterback and they lost an opportunity here to build the team.

@Idk _420 i agree that the past 10 drafts were inept except for Adams but what was so great about this draft? Is Morgan the quarterback taken with a wasted 4th round pick going to compete for the starting spot? or is he never going to see the field like Hackenberg? I’ve seen enough from Joe Douglas to know we’re not in good hands.

@Bruno Helvetika they’ll have 21 picks next two drafts, plus cap space to sign veteran players. If Joe and Company can’t build around our new QB with all these picks, then we are definitely a cursed organization. This isn’t like in 2012 when we all knew Sanchez wasn’t good. Or 2015 when Mac started spending on aging veterans. And he tried again in 2017 and 2019. Did you know we only had six picks in 2019? Five if you don’t count Polite, who was immediately cut in training camp. Mac in five drafts only drafted one offensive lineman, one offensive player in the first round and that was Darnold, his best draft was his last because most of them still with the team; for now. But like I said, Joe will have draft capital and tons of money to spend. Our new QB will be in a much better shape than Darnold ever was. We already have a legit left tackle, have a pretty good WR in Mims, signed a pretty good WR this off season, and 10 picks this year. And with Darnold, it’s really about the 5th year option. If they did pick it up, the Jets would have to pay him $18 million dollars, guaranteed. If played one more year without the option, he could have easily walked away in free agency and the Jets would not have gotten anything in return. Just like what happened to the Bears and Trubisky.

@Jean Vieira I appreciate your enthusiasm and I guess time will tell. the 18 mil for Darnold is a drop in the bucket. And I didn’t see Douglas throwing money around on free agents. I still say they could have traded the pick and would have had a team made up almost entirely of first second and third rounders.

@Reddog every £ucking player on that O line was drafted when Mangini was coach. Except for a couple pieces, some suspect, the whole £ucking defense was set up by Mangini. I didn’t say Mangini was HoF, he may not have been a very good coach, but he was better than Ryan at talent evaluation. Ryan was a god dam blowhard who wrecked 2 teams and every QB he touched as a HC.
