@JWS he lost the Giants game? Last time I checked he threw a td that put the dagger in them, but got called back due to a holding call on Trautman. Then our defense blew an 11 pt lead in the 4th quarter to let them come back and win in overtime. Offense never even got a chance to get the ball in OT. Trust me I was at that game front row. I saw it all.

@Demetrio Buckner I was there also and everything you typed is a bunch of excuses. I don’t recall you making any excuses for Taysom when he played against Dallas with over half of the offense out along with Kamara out along with injuries to his throwing hand and foot. If Winston played under any of those conditions you would be making excuses for days and he wouldn’t even play because he not tough like Taysom! Anyone who abuses women is not a man but a big P.O.S.

Clearly the defense let them down that game. 11 point lead and they lose it in the 4th. 74% completion %. Yea your def a troll. Don’t know stats or anything about the game. I don’t dislike Taysom. I’m rooting for him to do well of course as all Saints fans should. Nobody is “hating” on Hill. He is clearly not a starting caliber QB but he is the best we have at the moment. I’m not a Jameis praiser either but he obviously beat Hill out for the job for a reason. Any nfl analyst and statistics show Jameis is just an overall better QB. Only reason your getting so much hassle is because instead of just saying Taysom played well you went and threw Jameis under the bus as if he not the reason we even are in playoff contention.

Agreed! Besides the injuries to the offensive line, Taysom is playing with an injured finger! Try throwing the ball with a splint on your throwing hand finger. He at least gives the Saints a chance with his mobility because a pure pocket thrower will not have success right now with their offense.

@Cam B Isn’t it weird how no one expects perfect 100% passing from any QB except Hill? Any mistake he makes is amplified. Is simply unreasonable. How can a player expect to be confident and play his best when a lot of the fan base is so critical? That is not being a good fan. It has an effect when it is this out is control. I know you don’t hate him, thank you for that, but adding unreasonable expectations hurts the whole team. Community support effects every athlete.

@Alpha Sports And all you have shown is that you are an uneducated bias Hill hater and Winston promoter for obvious reasons! Hill beat the Panthers with the entire O line out except Ruiz who is the worst not to mention he is playing through an injured finger on his throwing hand and an injured foot. Winston in these circumstances would have an even worst QB rating than he had in better circumstances which was a 26.9 against the same team with a better supporting cast!

@Guy Lindquist Thank you. Both the media and some fans just hate the fact that Taysom is showing he has what it takes. He has had only 8 NFL starts total and is 6-2 in those starts which is phenomenal considering the lack of time on task. Even in yesterdays game playing with NO OFFENSIVE LINE he did fantastic but the media and the haters won’t give him credit. Also, he had several dropped passes where he threw perfect passes that hit receivers in their hands and chest. I believe he could get the Saints in the Superbowl and some haters will still say he is a gadget player who cannot play QB. SMH!

I’d like to see Taysom have a full season, but at the same time he’s 31 and will probably only have a few good seasons in him.

@maximus awesomness The way the NFL protects their NFL QB’s now a days if he is smart about it and learns to slide which I’ve seen him do more lately there is no reason he cannot play until he is 38 or 39 that is 7 or 8 years. I’ll take that. Brady is 45 and still going strong.

@maximus awesomness Well age only matter with depleting physical skills. He would probably one of the fastest QBs in the NFL even at age 40. No reason to worry about age – he takes care of himself.

@Jimmy Flippins No… you saw a different game, the Saints lost because Hill was not able to see the whole field. Philly forced him to throw … he was sacked 5 times and a 2 turnovers … the only reason why Hill stats look as it did because Philly had a lousy pass D unlike Denver who had the 3rd passing D in the NFL but one of the worst rushing Ds when the Saints played them Hill only completed 56% of his passes. Kurt Warner showed that Denver took away his reads and Hill was not confident enough to look back side to fine an open receiver. There will be games like the Philly game when he’s forced to throw … I bet you didn’t say one time during that game for Hill to get rid of the ball.

@Alpha Sports Blah blah blah the dude hasn’t even played a full season as a starter, he’s only started 8 games. Drew brees sucked his first couple seasons as a starter and was even benched. Your hero Jamis has many full seasons under his belt and still throws up prayers when he is under pressure. haha

This guy Tj on the state of the saints podcast is stupid also he act like he don’t know deonte Harris just got back from suspension and blamed Hill for his lack of production I’m like what production he was suspended and Hill made it work without him now other guys are stepping up and he got to get back in rhythm that’s why I say people are always creating the narrative when everybody know deonte Harris was suspended we gotta look it up ourself

@Kenny Domino But at least with jameis the offense actually moved down field and was scoring touchdowns. With taysom we have to hold our breath till the 4th quarter and hope he can keep a drive alive to get us to score finally.

@Jsteve I agree but he was not the guy that was getting us there it was the 9 intercepts and 3 returns for the touchdowns and great field position he could not do it by himself as good as he looked he would’ve lost 2 more games without those efforts on defense they had 1 since Taysom started that’s why I say he will Be better than Jameis Winston with more reps he already has 600+ more passing yards in 8 games that’s worth 6 more touchdowns weather they run it or pass for it that’s just shows who moved the ball better and eight races if I run one mile and you run a mile and a half you mean to tell me I won if the goal was to go to furthest or move the ball the furthest

@Kenny Domino its who made the most of the opportunities. Lets face it, the defense done gave the ball back to taysom plenty of times and most of the time its either punt or 3 and out. There have been drives that jameis drove down field when it wasnt short field and a touchdown was scored. And by the way interceptions are not the only forms of turnovers. Forcing the other team to punt is a turnover and the defense gave taysom plenty of those just to go 3 and out.
