Start taysom as QB, hes the only hope i have left.

I read on NFLs website that Hill is supposed to start, unless his injury prevents it.

    Antman

    That’s no saying much. πŸ˜•

If you’re a fellow Saints fan, the healthiest way to look at it is to accept this isn’t the year for much to happen. Adjustments will be made in the off season with trades, healthy players, etc. I’ve accepted that. There’s no shame in it.

    P. Michael Pell

AP reported that he took all 1st team reps Tuesday.. Only reason he wouldn’t start is the condition of pain tolerance.

    Shoutout2Tommy

Taysom is the only hope you have left on this team? Sheeshhh. I mean the season’s over but he’s not a starting an. Not even a backup. After tonight the world will see lol

SHrinE

Taysom here to stay!!!

    Demitrius Simpson

He better learn how to slide

    Darrell Johnson

@Demitrius Simpson he will either slide or dive underneath the tacklers unless he is trying to get a first down or touch down on 3rd and/or 4th downs

Jerry Pore Jr. aka The OG

Taysom Hill, I hope you’re ready for Thursday night!

Give him the benefit of the doubt, folks. Taysom’s a great athlete with a fantastic work ethic. However, he’s not a robot. Aggravating an injury now will only hurt him more down the road, and might end his career.

brasspick

The O-line needs to practice a lot more run-blocking, to be ready for Taysom’s improvised runs. And, avoid penalties.

    John James

Coach Payton needs to amend the offense for a running QB. Spread O and Lane openings. He could also create hell with misdirection with Kamara. As a former D Coordinator it is a nitemare to defend against. Look at the Ravens, Eagles, and KC for examples of the spread and misdirection.

    Retro Revelations

@John James He should have done that, and gone with Hill, in the first place, to start the damn season.

    Pauliasi Vainuku

@Retro Revelations no he shouldn’t have lol. Jameis 14TD- 3INT. Had the Saints 4-2. He was solid until he got hurt

    JWS

@Pauliasi Vainuku Disagree. Winston was carried by the defense in those 4 games. In the 2 games the Saints loss Winston was atrocious. He had a 26.9 QB rating against Carolina and got beat by a lowly Giants team. Winston is the inconsistent player he has always been.

    John James

@Pauliasi VainukuWinston did good but what bugged me is how close it was in a pocket passing competition that never evaluated Taysom’s Legs in the mix. Now I like Winston and his likable nature makes him an outstanding leader but I would’ve like to see Coach Payton stay with Brees and his ProtΓ©gΓ©. At least for 5 games. The other issue i have is they never evaluated the additional component of leg work. Compare Winston and Hill on leg work from the pocket too. Then it would be prudent to have schematics drawn up that incorporated both legs and pass in the offense. Like the Ravens or KC or even the Eagles.. lots of examples. That type of Offense incorporates the star running backs too along with short throws and misdirection. As a former D Coordinator I’m telling you it is tough to cover. Rewriting the Offense could also help with injuries. When you load the O and everyone knows where the play going{which we do) the D loads too. This is a common environment for injuries. We were predictable. This is just my thoughts… but I think it could work by augmenting the O to the talent we have rather than the talent we used to have. It definitely is working for the Ravens, the old KC.. oh I forgot to mention that it opens up passing routes for sub par WRs. Makes them look like their incredible with YAK too. ✌

Jamon Peariso

Always a class act!

Not Sure

Please be good, please be good, please be good

Humbled Anime Enthusiast

Glad we giving Taysom the start. But if he goes down I rather see Ian Book come out than Trevor. We’ve seen enough. Need to look at our Draft Pick.

Robert Donohue

He looks happy and excited. He’s gonna do better than Simeon

    Johntavious Hardwell

    Waaaaaaayyyy better

    Pranav Gandham

    1000x better

    Richard Meadows

    6 do New Orleans tonight

    Holly Hammett

I guess Hill didn’t after all.
I wonder if Coach has been humbled and regrets his decision. Or will he shrug his shoulders like me and try something else.

Retro Revelations

Injuries aside, this man should have won the QB comp, and should have started the season. And Siemian certainly never had any business starting over him.

    Tobs93

Wow you just gonna act like Jamies doesn’t exist?

    ReeseMuny504

Lol no. Jameis was just heating up and was winning us games. Please stop.

    Tyler Hatch

I’m a huge Taysom Hill fan, but Jameis won the competition in the preseason and played well enough to go 5-2. Taysom is solid as well and I’m hoping he stays healthy and plays well.

Jesse Collin

This is Taysoms 5th tear since Utah! I hope he’s got anything left πŸ™

Chris Montegut

We should be much better with taysom. Ian book is no joke. He can play as well. We need all hands on deck to have a chance for the playoffs.

    Anime ID

We don’t know what Ian can do he hasn’t played

John James

Taysom’s Legs in the mix it would be prudent to have schematics drawn up that incorporated both legs and pass in the offense. Like the Ravens or KC or even the Eagles… That type of Offense incorporates the star running backs too along with short throws and misdirection. As a former D Coordinator I’m telling you it is tough to cover. Rewriting the Offense could also help with injuries. When you load the O and everyone knows where the play is going{which we do) the D loads too. This is a common environment for injuries. We were predictable. This is just my thoughts… but I think it could work by augmenting the O to the talent we have rather than the talent we used to have. It definitely is working for the Ravens and other duals. Take a look at the Ravens last game where Jackson threw 3 picks and they still won.. oh I forgot to mention that it opens up passing routes for sub par WRs. It makes them look like their incredible with yards after catch too. If we are staying the same O I am concerned. Brees had a great trick where he would adjust his timing for release of the ball to the D he was facing. Quick releases then quick dumps to safety routes. Like Kamara. Hill will need to model that if they’re not adjusting the O. What could it really hurt to change up the O? It is in the novel of playbook plays they have in their playbook anyways. Go Saints and the Whodat nation!

Evil Dax

Taysom Alvin and Mark is the triple threat that will make the defense respect the run over the pass

Shaun Landry

Always been a fan of Taysom and happy to see him back.

Eric The Intern

Please please please don’t lose to the Dallas cowboys that would be the worst thing to happen for the saints besides losing Winston

HENNY TV WIT HOST FRANK NITTY
