@Bait Hucker okay so drop or let Dak walk then. If that’s your reasoning then multiple people should be gone….including TE’s, DL-men, and secondary players because we gave up alot of points last year and couldn’t stop no one but we paid those players. I really think it was the coaching that has fucked us but that’s just me. So getting rid of Dak to you sounds great but to me it sounds like we are going backwards. To get rid of a talented player like him and not have vision on who we should go after to replace him doesn’t sound smart. Dak isn’t the main problem but I guess since he is the QB he has to accept the blame.

@ltwyman7 bow we are communicating. I am not blaming Dak exclusively. We got rid of the TE (finally) they made a move or two in the defensive backfield. And the D-Line. O-Line gonna look a little different too. I am NOT saying Dak sucks. But what the team has accomplished during his tenure isnt great. People who think paying Dak 35-40 mill a year is the answer (imho) are delusional. I can tell you this. 35-40 mill a year for Dak doesnt make any sense to me. Im all in for 30. But i dont see him as a transcendent player. Which you really should be (again IMHO) if you want market setting money.

@ltwyman7 id like to address Trainer Tents Wentz and Goff for a minute, see I believe the Rams and iggles were dumb paying those guys that much. Overpaying average To slightly above average QBs brings you to where the Lions and Falcons are. And arguably the Rams and Iggles have been damaged by those contracts because other players have had to go. Youre right about continuing improvements need to be made elsewhere. But that doesnt mean we should just stand pat on Dak. We may whiff on the next QB, but we praise McClay for his scouting right? Its just as possible Will finds the next UDFA Romo or late rd Dak. Maybe its DiNucci. But we cant be afraid to try and be better. What have we really got to lose?

@ltwyman7 i just realized i didnt give you your props on identifying the coaching challenges weve had. Garrett was a mediocre game coach. A pretty good personnel guy. Apparently his players loved him. I have to ask, isnt the reason JG was here so long the exact same fear as letting Dak go? The fear of “but who do we replace him with?”. I agree its a big scary league without your franchise guy in place. But I am more scared of another quarter century of what weve been living with. If we are making moves trying to get better im on board. But if there are ANY questions about your people after 4 years, in a league with a 3 year career expectency, you HAVE to be ready and able to move on. In a league as fast paced as the NFL standing still takes you to the back of the pack faster than making a mistake or two.
