Hopefully Ben comes back on Sunday!

    John Doe

@Trey Smith u do realize tomlin saying were waiting on him To come back Doesn’t means he’s coming back anytime sooner?

    Trey Smith

@John Doe I’m saying there were reports that’s he’s doing better and he’s still in contact with everyone giving them constant updates so it seems like there are good odds of him returning

    John Doe

@Trey Smith him doing better doesn’t mean much. He’s gonna be able to play when he passes two covid tests. When he can pass atleast one covid tests than I can understand someone saying he’s close. But right now that’s just not true. Spreading false hope lol

    Trey Smith

@John Doe well he has to be asymptomatic first so it’s a start. Not saying he’ll b back. Just that it’s still looking like a possibility and he’s treating it as such. I sure hope he does though

    belasgirl6

@Trey Smith AB is talented but something happened, started dragging the team down. But, with AB being there it helped Juju his rookie year. Jury still out on Claypool, he was a good pick up, but I do not see much of a progression.

Terence Campbell

ok Mason get back to throwing practice now and be ready for silencing your critics-if they dont get you enuff throws in practice then use the hotel parking lot to practice more

    Ellie Gonzales

Exactly. I don’t want Ben to play as we’ve seen through the years how Ben plays with no practice or after a bye week. I want to see if Mason can put up a performance similiar to last year against the Browns. We don’t have Ju Ju and it’s a new O line, but I think with a full week of practice if he can put up some numbers and move the ball the critics will have to rethink their position on him.

    Ellie Gonzales

Well Ben will be playing is what it sounds like…with no practice and coming off COVID…good Lord. I hope this is one of those games where he pulls out a miracle, but like I said he usually plays like poo in these situations.

    Terence Campbell

@Ellie Gonzales they could use both of them-in certain situations Rudolph adds a threat of running-IMO people been overky critical and would like to see him get another start-he should be getting in some extra throwing this week and should be better prepared-Ben isnt exactly pinpoint acurate himself on his best days

    Ellie Gonzales

@Terence Campbell I hadn’t thought of that..great idea. Switch them up to throw the Chargers off. I don’t think Tomlin will do it though, he’s set in his ways. If Ben plays like poo though you would want to pull him since Mason practiced all week…but I just don’t see it happening. Like I said Tomlin set in his ways, and it would be seen as disrespectful to Ben.

MARK NETHERCUTT

We need big Ben

    Francisco Herrera

    To blame?

Suga Daddy

Rudolph played well on Sunday. Its not his fault his guys couldn’t hold on to a wet ball.

    jw1

@Rikki Hodgins When you are the backup and playing for a potential starting job you take advantage of opportunities. Mason didn’t get a lot of help but he missed tons of easy throws that would have been enough to win. If he plays Sunday I hope he plays well but I’m praying Ben suits up

    Rikki Hodgins

@jw1 youre right but in life some people are born good some people have to work and failure is what creates success in most people.

    jw1

@Rikki Hodgins I agree with you there Rikki but when you’re talking about being one of the best 32 Qb’s in the world sometimes you either have IT or you don’t. The saying parents tell their kids that “you can be anything you want to be” just simply isn’t true. Some people can work their asses off to be an NBA or NFL player and never come close. Obviously Mason is much closer than most so when people call him trash that’s simply not the case. He’s still in that 1% of elite athletes but unfortunately for him and us he doesn’t have the tools to be a starter. That’s just my opinion but hey I thought the Steelers drafted TJ Watt too high because of his last name so I’ve been way off before.

    Trey Smith

Played well is an overstatement. I feel for the guy but at his age and level of experience his inaccuracy just isn’t acceptable. He’s playing worse across the bored then Ben is on his decline. There’s no reason why he has no accuracy on deep throws and has little to no mobility while completely healthy. On top of that he just can’t make quick decisions. There’s been way too many times were he just sits in the pocket and chucks out a pass with poor timing or poor placement

belasgirl6

When need tough defense, better routes from the receivers. There is a huge chunk in the field in the middle that’s not used. So, I blame coaching and coordinators.

Koaility Kolas

Idk but I like Mason’s Moxy. I believe in you.

W. Dearth

Rudolph probably won’t ever get any credit in Pittsburgh for whatever reason but he’s going to remain a QB in this league for a while. Kirk Cousins isn’t better than him.

    China Man

Lmao ain’t no way you just said that

    jw1

Bahahahahaha. Kirk Cousins is Tom Brady compared to Mason. WTF have you been watching?

    jw1

@China Man The people just troll. They can’t really watch football

Drake Fullerton

We are screwed 😂

Phinesse DaPlug

Mason needs to get in the weight room. You’re the next man up homie, put some mustard on those passes.

    jw1

The weight room has nothing to do with throwing velocity. You ever seen Aaron Rodgers arms? They look like my Grandma’s

    Phinesse DaPlug

    @jw1 🤣🤣🤣🎯💯

    Aaron Autry

    @jw1 lol

Keystone Guardian

Mason did a good job last week. Guys need to catch the dam ball.

    jw1

You mean like the ball he threw 9 yds over Ballage’s head for an int? Or the one he threw into the dirt when Ray Ray was wide open in the end zone? Or the slant he missed Dionte on in the 4th qtr that would have won the game? GTFOH

    Ellie Gonzales

@jw1 Or the two he completed that would have won the game and Muth and Johnson fumbled

    jw1

    @Ellie Gonzales 100% true

John Easton

I am going to the game this Sunday and the last thing I want to see is Mason playing. He is horrible I’d rather have uncle Rico at QB

    jw1

Uncle Rico could throw the ball over them mountains, Mason throws em in the dirt

Mind Business

Don’t forget that our defense was lethargic in the first half. It looked like no one knew the fundamentals of tackling. This was a team loss. However, Mason looked really good considering all the set backs. The ball was thrown beyond 15-yards early and when available…AND…we learned that we have other talented players on the offense (just saying). Just need to design plays to get everyone involved. That is the only way you are going to get to the playoffs and continue to advance. We also learned that other TE’s NOT named Pat Freiermuth, need to learn how to freakin’ block for the jet sweep. 6’8″ TEs should not get blown back by linebackers, that’s embarrassing. Another thing, if it wasn’t for Mason’s mobility, there would have been more snap-related fumbles. Not sure what was going on with Green because Mason and Ben are the same height??? Anyway, I am personally wanting Mason to get the start, simply because Coach Tomlin has always been consistent when it comes to players starting the game as it relates to practice during the week. I know special players are different (i.e. TJ, Minkah, Ben, Cam, etc.), but I feel like there were a lot of arrows pointing in the right direction with Mason in the game. We seemed less predictable. Here We Go Steelers!

RiskTakin

I’m going to this game lol I’m definitely fin to watch Mason and James Washington cuz y’all vouch for them like they elite.

    sactown steelers

Rudolph sucks difnt you see him against detroit? These Rudolph fans have no say after the way the he played and kept us in a tie with the worst team in the league

    Richard McKinney

@sactown steelers SO THE TWO THUMBLES IN OVERTIME HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TIE? PLEASE COME BACK WHEN YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON.

Dillwidit

i know this is the first time im ever gonna say this, being a lifetime black&gold die-hard, but i aint gonna be upset if Rudolph has to play. I truly feel if he has a full week of practice with 1st team reps, and our receivers protect the ball, and our center learns to hike it better… he can lead us to a W. As should have happened last week. No doubt in my mind. Nobody did that kid any favors and he sucked it up. Not even the OC who had him throw 3 times on 1st and goal at the 6 yard line!!! WHAT !?!… and against the next to last run defending team in the league! uhhh, we have Harris. smh.
This week we are up against the very worst run defending team. The outcome will be more on the coaches, Rudolph will do his part, of that im certain.
Go Rudolph! he really deserves our support.

    Trey Smith

Jonah Whitt

Amazing team mindset that is one of the many reasons I’m a steelers fan for life. CANT WAIT FOR SUNDAY!!!!!

Jennifer Prueser

Shine Mason shine!! You got this!!

dozerthecat

Who is #4 throwing passes in the background?

Victory Asher

He throwing shade on Dwayne Haskins. He brought up Ben and Dobbs but not Dwayne. I sense competition insecurities. 🙄

    Angry Yinzer

    Dwayne isn’t better than Mason

Brian Harrington

For a backup quarterback he does a good job, but as a franchise starter he still has a long way to go.

Paula McCabe

I’m starting to believe in this young man.
