@Expert In Everything ok I got the race thing wrong, and went a little over the deep end, but I really believe Tomlin’s a good coach. I think he can do this without being shackled to Ben b/c no one in Pittsburgh can say no to Ben b/c he is the HOF QB that has to go out on his own terms

And if what Butler said is true, about Tomlin calling the defensive plays what kind of coach does he think he’s going to get thats going to want to be a puppet? 3-7 in the playoffs since the SB loss. Four WC losses and four times not even making the playoffs. But hey you be excited about a worthless stat like no losing seasons in 15 years.

@Shawn Kuhns Your post is completely irrational and contradictory & a little delusional. How can it be a worthless stat when its a direct reflection on winning in an NFL when coaches are fired after 3 years when they fail? Its a very important stat for those who “get it” which excludes Mike Tomlin haters such as yourself. But if you love Ben, the stat becomes important to tout his success. That’s contradictory. I agree he’s had miserable fails in the playoffs, but that’s your only complaint. He’s won every year, he goes to the playoffs more often than 80% of the teams in the NFL and is 1-1 in the SB, just like HOF coach Bill Cowher. Its irrational to apply such a standard to Tomlin only. However, Tomlin haters will make the playoff record their swan song for their disdain for Tomlin and minimize every success as if none of it matters including the Super Bowl appearances and wins which is delusional.

Canada news to go, the most predictable offense ever and it shows week after week. Quit throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage. Hire outside of the organization we need new ways of thinking all around.

@Shawn Kuhns yes Shawn, that’s how drafting player works. You get them on the field, see if it plans out, and if it doesn’t you get them off. Don’t let your attitude rob you off actuality. That’s literally how all teams and businesses run; give a qualified guy a chance, and if he can’t do the job, let him go.

We have went from top tier, to rebuild switching our approach to offense/ damn near juggernaut back to rebuild switching back to Defense. IT’S NOT WORKING! I don’t know where you been for the last decade+ but “Rebuild”🥴 Is no longer an excuse! Also just for your information cause you sound like another one of those fans that loves to take all responsibility off Tomlin, who do you think is responsible for recruiting/keeping the team? Head coach AND GM, anyone who thinks it’s solely the GM does not know what they are talking about and Tomlin has openly admitted on record it’s a collective issue!

@Eskeetit Litty u just got unrealistic expectations then ig. the fact this team got the last spot was crazy in itself. We had a bottom 5 qb and line this year and no depth on defense. If u wanna be delusional go find another team.

@127Lasher Ben didn’t play in 14 games of the 2019 season and Tomlin had them at 8-5 and fighting for a playoff spot. That was perhaps his best coaching year.

@Shane Adams Seems like hair splitting, but I’ll concede he wasn’t terrible that one yr that he had to.. doesn’t excuse nothing from killer B’s and all the endless talent gone to waste over the yrs.. Defensive tradition, completely obliterated…etc etc.. but I’m sure we’ll have to just agree to disagree, no matter what..

@127Lasher I was just citing the one piece of work available relative to the conversation. I agree it won’t be easy sledding as they try to replace Ben, but it’s nice to know an example exists of what Tomlin is capable of without a franchise QB.

@Shane Adams For all of you that think Tomlin is still great… This loss will be the 4th WC loss since the SB. It will push his playoff record during that span to 3-7, and thats all wrapped around 4 seasons of not even making the playoffs. TIME TO GO.

(1) Is missing the playoffs really better than losing playoff games?

(2) Who would be an improvement and would take the job?

@Big H Definitely I said that the other day when Hines retired I cried. I couldnt believe it. This hurts more I remember when a player gives you 18 seasons and is apart of the True Steelers Football. The Nastiness, Run Game, and our Defense. We got a lot of work todo to get back there. You are right Hines hurt every Steelers Fan. Big Ben Crushes every Steelers fan Heart.

Mike Tomlin had never had a losing season. He’s the coach of 3 phases. Big Ben was just one player in one phase.
