He’s needs to talk and train with D Adams this offseason to help his game out the main problem about his game is that his drops always the most costly ones on 3rd down when the man is just wide open you gotta convert those

You can be an elite route runner all you want but if you can’t catch the ball you can’t be a great receiver. I notice dionate improving the only issue is he tries too hard too make men miss and isn’t always focused on the ball he proved he’s An elite receiver but when you drop the ball twice on two crucial third downs you’re gonna get hate that’s how it is if he did catch the ball that coulda been game changing but he didn’t it’s all good he proved he isn’t ready yet he should focus this off-season on his skills as a receiver n he’ll be fine mistakes happen yk but it how you come back n last night dionate just couldn’t come back from it football is a mental sport just like it’s a physical sport so there are areas he needs to improve and he will just disappointing the way the offense played yesterday need major help this off-season

Gotta improve them drops…that really hurt them…can downplay the consistent drops…gotta do better…keep your head up though young man

Stop hating. Its funny cause his hands are actually very good in contested catches. He carried our receiver room. Definitely made a few mistakes that mattered but u guys need to chill. Be lucky we have someone like diontae that works and doesn’t talk like a goof.

Diontae is a great player. He definitely improved a lot this year. It was just one game. People make mistakes. It’ll just make him stronger. He’ll be back 🖤💛.

This dude is brazen. All of those drops and the first words out of your mouth is about you seeing stuff that the coaches don’t, but you can only run whatever they call. Damn. I don’t even know how some of these dudes operate. You gotta have at least one dude in your corner telling you the truth. Damn.

One of Dionte’s interviews, after Mason started, blamed drops and bad performance on the lack of Ben being in. Now he blames it on the run game.

In the first game vs. KC Diontae fumbled WITHOUT being touched in wide open space, in the lions game in OT Mason actually throws a good pass and this man runs into traffic holding the ball loose and FUMBLES (we woulda got a field goal and won), in the ravens game last week on 3rd and 8 this man drops a FIRST down and forced us to go for it on 4th and 9 and thank GOD ray ray caught it or we would have lost the game, ended ben’s career and never made the playoffs. He also dropped a damn TOUCHDOWN vs the ravens in the first time we played them. Now he drops 2 CRITICAL first downs, 1 when we were up 7-0 and the next when were tied 7-7, and after he dropped the ball, on the VERY NEXT PLAY he gets a penalty and turns a 3 and 8 into a 3 and 11 and KILLS OUR DRIVE forcing the defense to be on the field for the 10000th time and causing them to wear out! And if you thought this was all thats wrong with DJ, well it’s not! This guy ALWAYS catches the ball and starts running backwards because he is scared of CONTACT. I think the crazy hit he took vs. the browns in 2019 changed him and makes him avoid all contact to get extra yards by either running backwards, falling down before the tackle or running out of bounds. He is not tough like juju or ray ray and he is not reliable like james washington to catch easy passes. DJ was pissed he didnt make the pro bowl this year but CLEARLY THEY SAW SOMETHING! I say cut him and resign juju and keep james washington!!

I still remember every drop I’ve had in my life, down to JV scrimmages and even in practice. Yet this guy is saying “big deal!”. Blows my mind.

DJ makes a good throw look like a bad throw, a bad throw look like a terrible throw.

Great come back year from last year. If he keeps working he will continue to grow. He is still young and we all make mistakes or don’t perform to our highest level 100% of the time. The facts are he made a ton of plays this season.

Great season work on your hand eye coordination I won’t talk about dropped passes this is football we all drop passes you improved so much don’t let the negativity get u down use that as motivation to raise up u are a good football player dare yourself to be great u can be great get stronger run in sand too get faster you are a great talent work hard in the off season this team is going to need you DJ level up my man proud of you black and gold forever

Diontae Johnson might have some drive ending drops but this man has also had game winning catches. Life has taught me that you must have the bad moments just so you can appreciate the good moments. Lots of respect to this man, he doesn’t let the negatives bring him down it just pushes him to do better, can’t wait to see this team next year and his development how much he helps this team get to the playoffs again!! LETS GO STEELERS!!!
