I walk take travon walker at 1 & drake jackson at 33.

    Crqzy .-

drake isn’t falling to second round. Also travon isn’t going to produce like hutch will he will need time to develop.

    1%

@Crqzy .- you think drake jackson from usc is going in the first round ? Travon walker is an interior dlineman his sack numbers dont matter. U pair him with a pass rusher thats a good draft if they decide to grab the most disruptive player in the draft. Thibb is better than hutch tbh. Whoever they draft ill be fine with theres no real #1 player

Nick Grandshaw

Georgias defense had a tough schedule compared to Michigan, and the defense showed up against Michigan, I would take walker just off of the competition he went up against in this last season

Cody Jackson

Deebo??????

    Travis Masterson

Deebo is not going to come to the Jaguars lol if he goes anywhere it will be somewhere that has a chance to win a title next year.

    Cody Jackson

@Travis Masterson I just wish they would go after dk deebo or maybe move up in the late first round to snag a number one receiver

SigRin88

Take Hutch. Every casual that says “Aiden didn’t show up vs Georgia” also don’t realize their entire offensive gameplan was to go away from him with short quick passes. And on a few of the big dropbacks they were called for holding which is as good as a sack. Take the safe pick and not risk it on Walker, that’s the exact reason why we’re in the position we’re in. Drafting raw players

    SigRin88

@Chase Chance If he played out side. Funny you mention that, the better the dline, shouldn’t a prospect have more production the time he’s been there?

    Chase Chance

@SigRin88 definitely not. I guarantee if Walker was at Michigan and played the same position as hutch then he would’ve gotten better stats and started earlier in his career than hutch. Walker was in a different system and played a lot of inside so that the outside backers could pass rush. Hutchinson would’ve been demolished playing more inside. I don’t even think Walker should be the first pick as I believe thibedoux is the best overall pass rusher but my goodness hutch is not as good as people think he is

    SigRin88

@Chase Chance you guarantee? The dude literally has no pass rush moves and doesn’t use his hands nearly as good as Hutch. He may be a freak athlete but if he was so damn good at Georgia, why wasn’t he higher on everyone’s boards? 🤔 He didn’t get all this attention until his combine which we’ve seen many players do well and then bust

    Chase Chance

@SigRin88 I’m not even saying Walker is great. He’s far better than hutch tho. Hutch wouldn’t have started at Uga. Hutch played against really bad talent in the big10 and then had a good game against an Ohio state team having a down year. Don’t be fooled dude. Travon Walker has shown he can line up anywhere on the d line and make an impact. Hutch can’t even stop the run for crying out loud

    SigRin88

@Chase Chance where does this csnt stop the run stuff come from? Lol I’ve seen him make plenty of plays in the run game and even set the edge and contain the QB on option plays

Cutty Green

Great interview with Buckner!

The Walking Jed

Hutchinson is more than just a top player. His energy on and off the field makes him an instant leader to motivate this defense to play their hearts out. I’d take that over Walker and Thib, who are talented, but are quiet

    Bass Mover

Did you not see Tyson Campbell talk about walker?? If you think walker is quiet then dam why we have Campbell??? Lol

    Chase Chance

U can’t really say travon is quiet when he had possibly 6 first rounders on the same defense as him. Including the MLB Nakobe Dean who technically has to be the voice of the defense

Russell Tapley

While we do need pass rush on the edge I’m banging the drum for a Marcus stroud/John Henderson type of guy in the middle of the line. I’ve always agreed with Tom Coughlin about the D-line and having steady rotation to keep guys fresh. It’s one of the big reasons he got a ring in New York. Relentless pressure on opposing QBs. The thing is when it comes to the line of scrimmage on either side whether offensive or defensive every individual position on that line effects the rest of the line. One weak spot makes the whole line weaker. When you don’t have a few guys in the middle that are big enough to fill running lanes and able to cause disruption or obstruct vision down field it automatically makes your pass rush on the edge less effective and vice versa. We have some young guys on the edge that are decent to good. What we don’t have is a true nose tackle. By that I mean a big guy that isn’t moved off his spot very often and makes it hard to run up the middle. Like when we had stroud/Henderson or Calais/dareus it was much harder to effect the middle of our line and it automatically made our pass rush on the edge much more effective. You noticed in 2017 how Yannick didn’t have to come out on the downs he got pulled off the field for in previous years or after Calais and dareus we’re gone. His size wasn’t nearly a factor because of those two anchors in the middle were redirecting traffic back to the outside and that worked right into their benefit being smaller and faster as well as the linebackers we had were so fast as well it made it very hard to consistently run the ball on us or even set up a screen. You couldn’t control the line of scrimmage against us. I do want an edge rusher but I really want us to get the other guy from Georgia …that behemoth at nose tackle that moves like an edge rusher but is 340 pounds. Jordan Davis would automatically be a presence and impact in the middle of our line. The guys that we have right now for that position and at 3 tech are not nearly as imposing. Just having Jordan Davis standing there creates a line of sight problem for a QB just like Calais caused when he was here. When he couldn’t get pressure he got his hands up and that caused QBs to hold the ball longer and then guess what? Edge guys got more time to get home and sacksonville was alive and well. We NEED a Jordan Davis. If we got hutch first pick and found a way to trade back up and get Davis I’d be very happy about our defense other than linebacker depth. Right now the middle of our D-line scares nobody and that’s got to change. You effect the QB and he will make mistakes. Being able to effect the pocket across the line instead of just the edge will make a QB hold the ball more and we seen what happened….we got sacks and forced fumbles and a LOT MORE PICKS. Shaq and Campbell would benefit so much from a Jordan Davis. That presence right in a QBs face makes every position on defense look better. I hope we don’t get cute on draft day. Both lines need to be bolstered.

    Andrew OBrien

Yessir, Davis is the way to go

Cornelius Kilgore

Is it a crazy idea to trade the No.1 overall for Deebo Samuel?

Aaron Hovey

🍻🍻🍻

Eric MtDewFan

Anybody else get an eye twitch or ptsd type stuff when he said “Own it!”…?

Charles Cox

No point in trading out if you’re not getting worthwhile compensation. Hold out and draft hutch or neal if nothing improves.

Your Mom

Jags aren’t good at developing. Just draft the most NFL ready players and we will see improvement. We don’t need players that need years to get good. We need good players NOW. Hutchinson is ready.

C. Parker C.

Absolutely not Detroit would only be willing to move back. You dont move up for DE. Having said that Detroit would love to draft Hutchinson but they wont have a chance as Jacksonville, IMO, is taking Hutch.

Hutchinson is an incredible athlete at his size. 6.89 3-cone was the 3rd fastest at the combine which is unbelievable

Walter Thomas The Hippopotamus

Well.. If they pick Hutch he BETTER be a 10+ sack a season guy minimum. He will be the FIRST PICK of the FIRST ROUND. No excuses if he isn’t. Safe pick, usually is an OLineman, especially if you have a QB who is the FUTURE OF YOUR TEAM and most relies on Offensive abilities these days.
