I heard he was going to be hired as a HC at Mississippi State. Hopefully we can get back to at least not be an embarrassment next year.
Special teams coach works with the whole team, similar to what Harbaugh did before coaching BAL. He was under Belichick for a long time, so he knows what he’s doing. Not to mention Jones has a very high IQ, so he’s going to adapt to the offense quickly.

Belichick himself was a special teams guy before Parcells promoted him. Special Teams guys have to do a lot of adjustments because they have players going in and out.
We dont even know what the offense is going to be though. Aside from him saying that he wants to implement a plan week to week and wants to be a smash mouth team. We need a 3-4 defensive coach like a Wade Phillips or all these players we brought in the last couple years are on the way out. I’m guessing with his history he will be utilizing a defense similar to what New England runs.

Have to say I am optimistic. Glad the Giants didn’t go with a safe choice and took a risk with a coach. Ideally they will bring in some strong coordinators, Wade Phillips would be grand, but unlike most of the talk show hosts I don’t have this pick. Special Teams coordinators are overlooked for the value they bring to a team.

We need a hard nosed football coach. Someone who holds players accountable. Shurmur wanted to be their friend. That’s great but it didnt work. Coughlin came in hard nosed and got their attention real quick. I like what I have read about The Judge. We and the media will have alot of fun with this guys name. NYG4L🤘

I think the Giants will be the dark horse in the NFC East because the league has already written our team off with the recent hires in Dallas and Washington. The defense and offense are closer in talent than analysts realize. The divisional games lost in 2018 and 2019 were close and Joe Judge probably saw he has some serious talent to work with knowing that he could bring them up to a championship level.
