Defense couldn’t stop anyone or anything. Then our offensive play calling was not good at all. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

    maria sv

@Frederick Becker DeMeco Ryans is interviewing for hc jobs. Might give that guy a shot

    Jesse Montgomery

The defense will have a disadvantage on fake turf with those conditions. Our offense was never able to use the conditions against the Bengals defense. To think our defense was supposed to win this game is an unreal expectation. It was up to our offense to outscore the Bengals. The Bengals scored the number of points that were expected. We failed to score our expected points total, and this is why we lost the game!

    Jesse Montgomery

@acedeuce24  we can’t look 3-4 years down the road. If we don’t make some serious offensive changes this off-season in 3 or 4 years we will be a completely different team without a championship from all of this. Offensively we didn’t live up to expectations. This is OC down failure! Our defense definitely won more games for us this year than our offense! We don’t pass protection well at all and obviously they don’t commit to running even when they are successful at doing so! If we are going to commit to passing then get pass protection, simple!

    George

That’s what happens when you’re interviewing for HC vacancies and not gameplanning. Not a single coach planned for this game

    Jason ME

    @Alfred Jones never happen

My G

As long as Josh Allen is our leading rusher and we refused to put together a ground and pound running game with a legitimate running back this will be our fate every year.

    BG RD

We have one already but they are to dumb to use it

    Francisco Ordaz

100% agree, tries to be a one man show and that’s just not how it goes

    Bobby Gray

@broadstreet21 he needs protection from the OL so he can have to throw the dang ball..JB was back just chilling…any Qb would have protection if they’re not getting enough time to make a decent throw. Most of the time he’s always running to make a play and that’s not gonna cut it. 2020 was his best year because he had it all

    Buffalo Troll

Facts I don’t understand why don’t have a running like every other good team

    Alex Smith

As long as Josh Allen, head coach, defensive cord., offensive cord. are still in town be prepared for another heartbreak

Enrico Pallazzo

I haven’t seen timing passes since the first half of the year. They brought Beasley back to never run a middle crosser again on 3rd down?!? Every snap Allen was dropping back and hanging out running around. No quick slants, nothing to help get a rhythm going. Won’t get into defense.

Wendy Beb

a) they have more player talent
b) we were out-coached
c) we lost the turnover battle
d) one dimensional
e) all of the above

    Alex Smith

You could have just said “We are the Buffalo Bills” end of story everyone in the NFL world would completely understand

Anthony Falzone

I agree with MY G…..They need a dominant ground game. This keeps the opposing defense honest. Also, it makes Josh Allen more effective.

    Mark Golden

Can’t do it with those small RBs. Beane has to rethink that position. And the need for top WRs for Allen is critical to his career.

Working Man Reads

I don’t know what we need to do, in order to finally finish the job, but I hate the fact that this franchise falls short year after year. I love my Bills no matter but I am gutted right now..

    jimmy desanta

get a new qb, josh allen is a fraud

    Pete Fiala

It’s called a new coaching staff

zType

Punted the game away on 4th and 2. 0 adjustments. Looked like JV vs Varsity. Bills couldn’t stop the run and also were giving up wide open throws underneath. Need changes within this coaching staff. D-line still needs a big body to disrupt the game. Tough loss. One thing to lose, but to lose like that? Embarrassing.

    711bogdan

I know right, I knew we lost the game when we punted there.

    Thomas Gardner

I could not agree more. If you’re down 14 and your D is not getting stops, and it’s 4th and 2 at the beginning of the 4th, no coach who actually wants to win punts in that situation (no matter where you are on the field). I’m not saying that’s why they lost. But I am saying they punted away their last chance to get back into it.

BK- EPIC reviews

Offensive play calling was the real deciding factor. Need more solid run plays, different pass plays. Defense started season great, whole team started dwindling at the end of season. Always next year, Go Bills! ❤

    __________F

Bills overpay for every player resulting in not being able to fix issues in the team when they need to. That and the fact we get out coached every game.

    Erin Freize

Defensive injuries really hurt us this year. Really needed Hyde and Miller today.

    Fleet Seats

Can’t be calling many run plays when you fall behind 14-0 right out of the gate

    Shawn Nugent

Beane and Dermott have had 4 years to create an offense built for Buffalo NY, which they have not. We don’t play in a dome. I have been questioning this for awhile. Too much is put on Allen. Dorsey is not Daboll.

    Sean guitarman

I wanted to like Dorsey, I just think he doesn’t scheme right. Our strengths are hitting Diggs in open space, TE play, RB screens/routes. He used them hardly ever, when that’s what we should have been banking on. Sean McDermott should have took over play calling midway through the season. Oh well, hopefully we stay smart in the Off-season, our team should be a powerhouse again next year with the right moves. Also, may have heard rumor that Dorsey was interviewing for HC jobs during the practice week…..hmmm. yeah.

Congrats to the Bengals. They looked like an elite SB team and Buffalo looked like a mediocre NFL team. Back to the drawing board. Hope the rest of the winter is mild. 😄

    xxx

Big Storm coming buffalo way next week.

    Shed

Mediocre? They didn’t even look close to mediocre. The Texans would’ve beat them. They were terrible.

Flipkicker86

I have never seen such a dominant and efficient opening driving of a game in my life. Defense was absolutely Man handled.

    Zion

Bills had to give that game away!!

    Mike Wolfzorn

1st drive last time we played ya was pretty much the same!! Who Dey

    Ronny Westbrooks

So was offensive line big time

    Wayne Morris, Jr.

    Lucky to get out alive

    Victory1981

@Zion I really like Sean McDermott. He has been our best coach since Marv Levy, but he’s fallen short when the Bills have had teams to win the SB. I’m starting to wonder if he’s a championship-caliber coach? There’s a difference between an elite coach and a good coach. McDermott is not yet elite. And so I won’t believe in anymore SB hype. You have to get to a SB to have a chance to win one. That hasn’t happened yet under McDermott. I’m disappointed in Dorsey and Frazier as well. Especially Frazier. Last three elimination games: 107 points given up

JEE

10000% coaching was the difference! The Bengals coaching staff outcoached the Bills 100%!!!

2550marshall

As a Bengals fan: Mad respect for your coach and team. What you guys went through over the last few weeks is unbelievable. Hopefully we can make this the most cordial rival in years to come. If we had lost, I would most assuredly be a Bills fan for the rest of the year.

    jimmy desanta

nobody cares about ur mad respect dude the bills are garbage, allen is a bum

    dmoretta

Rooting for you guys. My buddies that were in Cincy for the first game, said the fans were all buying beers for bills fans. I think the world of your city.

    Brent

Anybody but the chiefs , but ill be a bengals fan for the last 2 games for sure

    Michal Tezner

respect and so true, this year happend too much! It was in our heads! We have lost to better team, and that is fact. It hurts but in the end less then last year coin toss:)

    Owen Baker

Bills fan here: Congrats to the Bengals

Erin Freize

I think Ken was outmatched. He kept calling plays that took too long to develop and the pressure got to Josh. We needed quick strikes, running plays and ball control, but starting with two three and outs put us behind and we never recovered. The defensive pass rush couldn’t get home because Burrow got the ball out quickly we couldn’t adjust quick enough from the zone.

    Timothy Storrs

In my opinion the most accurate comment on here. The pass plays either never developed or took to long to develop. I watch Josh hopping up and down with the ball after the snap waiting for someone to get open. Drives me nuts! Was timing all the other QB’s this weekend and all of them got rid of the ball in under 3 seconds consistantly except for Buffalo. And the defense looked to this amateur couch QB like they were just trying to play it safe and get through the game. Very big letdown. I told my wife, when I die please ask the Buffalo Bills to be paul bearers at my funeral. That way as they lower my coffin in to the ground, I can say the Bills let me down one last time!

Victory1981

I like McDermott. He’s our best coach since Levy, but he doesn’t seem to be championship caliber. We’ve had the teams, but continue to fall short. Disappointed in our coordinators as well!
Frazier in the last three elimination games: 107 points given up

William Stalvey

Main thing, I am a huge Bill’s fan and playing at home, Bill’s have every advantage with the fans, the weather yet, this is becoming a concern because the window to really win it all was last year.
The positives are there, but Buffalo needs changes and need to get a lot bigger on defense!!

William Graham

Sadly didnt have it today. I remember O.J. having some record breaking days in conditions like we saw yesterday… Oh… for a stellar rushing game to add to this team… God bless this organization… with good off season additions/adjustments… and recovery from this year’s trials to come back with renewed fire and resiliance. Go Bills!

Todd Langworthy

Bottom line, Sean is a good man. The problem therein lies. He’s been too loyal to some players and coaches that should have been let go. Sean mentioned that this is a tough BUSINESS…I hope he goes back to that. Both coordinators failed this year. They should be let go. I could possibly give Dorsey one more chance , but Fraser has to go. Two years in a row a disastrous finish is unacceptable. Employees who fail that miserably get fired. The offensive line regressed this year as well, with a coach who was brought back. So why would he be retained? His line got worse, not better under his direction. Tough decisions have to be made Sean. Loyalty is an admirable trait, but as you mentioned this is a business and the business has failed for years now. Some players as well……

Servin Wet'Dik

As a Bengals fan, we were done “wrong”, they tried to “crown” Josh Allen too early and count us “out”, they were already selling out tickets to the neutral site in Atlanta, I’m glad we curtailed that effort.
Thank God for Demar Hamlin’s health, but we’re moving on to Arrowhead.

T Baker

There are some games where you can honestly say “Bill’s beat themselves”; this wasn’t one of them. They were completely dominated; a player vs player, coach vs coach, coordinator vs coordinator, beatdown. From all indications, the Bill’s are loaded with personal with a high level of professional character. Anyhow; they took several steps backwards from last season. Started with going too far in revamping the D with the signing (and hype of what was to come) of Miller. Great rusher, a a good motivator; but personally, did the Bills really gain anything (even if he had stayed healthy)? And the absolutely worse thing he did was making that fake trophy; akin to every person getting a star. The defense as a whole; the Bill’s seem to be stuck for decades with the “bend don’t break” approach; even in the real good seasons, it always fails them. I like Frazier a lot; but last year I was also hoping that he’d become a head coach somewhere; and that the Bill’s would move on from a system that is overrated. Many years the Bill’s are rated top of the board in several (mis-leading) defensive categories; every year, the D ultimately breaks down. The O coordinator; well, we see how good Daboll’s offense did against the Eagles with a decent QB and real good RB; if the Bill’s had pulled it out and made it to the SB; they would have been shutdown on both sides by the Eagles or the 49’ers; and maybe even the Cowboys. Dorsey is good; but good enough? And is Dorsey nothing more than a product of a couple real good players? Will Allen go the way of Newton if the O philosophy stays the same? A friend pointed this out to me; and it made me cringe that it could happen. The running game; yes, Motor has heart; and he may be better than he seems (due to so much focus on Allen), but I always hold my breath each time he touches the ball. Too much hype on the Bill’s from game 1 against a bad Rams team; Bills missed a golden opportunity to play them last year in the SB; Rams should have never made it to the SB last year. Bills were shaky the entire season; I don’t think there were more than 3 games where they played 3 quarters (much less 2) of solid football. The lug nuts were loose for a long time; never retightened, and the wheels finally came off all at once. Hopefully the players and organization don’t continue to beat their heads this off season against a wall that is not going to move; they need to take a breather, back away from the wall, look for a door, or just walk around it. 2 last points; did the players use the proper footwear for the conditions? Seemed like a lot of slipping and sliding on the Bill’s side as compared to the Bengals. Last; and don’t hate me….(actually I don’t care), the Hamlin misfortune was overdone. It was a freak incident; I had a friend 30 years back die from a softball throw to 1st as he charged 2nd; hit him in the chest at the wrong time; immediately dropped and died from cardiac arrest. Buffalo went thru a lot worse loss this year; the shooting, and the loss of life from the storms. People can keep others in mind, and have sincere feelings of hope and best wishes; but in my opinion, this was overdone; to the point that the only hope of winning was based on someone else’s unfortunate circumstances.
