Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus introductory press conference | Chicago Bears – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Bobby Kelly

Feel very good about both Poles – Eberflus. I’m very happy to have them running this team going forward
Outside of strong press conference from them, was reminded how ridiculous the Chicago media can be!
So many dumb questions trying to force their own narrative. Glad neither Ryan or Matt fead into stupidity
They redirected every idiotic question. Biggs question about their contracts specifically made me roll my
eyes. It makes me feel better that they already know how to handle the Chicago media, Ryan specifically
is definitely no nonsense, isn’t going to handle BS. I love that about him. The type of mindset that I want!

Zaxxis

Love the passion from RP shows he puts his heart and soul into this.

MrAlan692

oh thank God they finally mic’d the reporters. thank you.

    C&C Vee

Bears need to fire their media team and start over too. Maybe Ted can work on it

    Nolan

I think they were on zoom during the season

    Nicholas Watts

I noticed in the UFC we can always hear the reporters because there is someone walking around with a mic but with NFL they never did that, I’m wondering if that changed or if they’re on something like a zoom call? I think they should incorporate a mic person if they haven’t.

    Jordan Earnest

@Nolan I think it was off and on some weeks zoom other in person

BIG DANGEROUS

I’m giving it a chance I like the people he has hired so far

Happy_Zebra_86

Happy to have a GM who cares so much about O-Line

300TV

Sounds good…… Im a tad bit more hopeful for this Ryan & Matt combo more than the last one

    Krisis

Id rather this team be lead by a banana peel than Matt Nagy. 😂

riddler2222

Both look like high character people. Hopefully this will lead to wins. Hoping the Bears follow the Bulls in quickly turning the organization into a competitive team.

    Thomas McKenzie

Well, Justin Fields and Allen Robinson are not Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen.

    Chosen One

@Thomas McKenzie Two different sports plus he’s not referring to back in the 90s he’s talking about the Bulls today who are a competitive team

    OGB Sachi

@Thomas McKenzie you aren’t familiar with the Bulls related news this last year huh?

    Brett Zimmerman

I like our chances better than Nagy and Pace at the helm.

austin castro

so cool to see Justin up there. franchise showing their commitment to him

Frank Zepeda

BEAR Down men welcome to the family. I really enjoyed Ryan’s and Matt’s press conference. And poles was touching to me I believe you will make the difference brother go to work baby.🐻🏈 BEARS great story man!! You fight for us and will fight for you.

Me Random

When Ryan was talking about starting in the trenches, I felt a tingling feeling going through my body 😂

    Tor Tor

    Steady

    DurdenTheMad

i was still recovering from coach saying hes a head coach not a def cord

Brett Zimmerman

I like Matt’s mind set, he likes to follow a process that is measurable, and he appears to be strong in his convictions which is needed by a head coach.

    Richard Frasher

Agree but he shouldn’t tell his plans to the world because the players see it as well. Now they’ll feel like they are being spoonfed

    Jax .sonn

@Richard Frasher dude every coach has a system in place😂 and this HITS principle is used league wide. Idk what you’re trying to prove by saying that.

Caden Breier

Happy that both of them thanks the Lord for the opportunity first. We have big things in store!!! 🐻 ⬇️

    GeminiMind

What difference does that make? None, Zero.

    Anthony Scioscia

@GeminiMind He only commented that he was happy, doesn’t make any difference. You got nothing to lose by having faith man. What difference does it make if you’re a gemini or Capricorn is a better question

    Caden Breier

@GeminiMind “Whoever denies me before man, I will also deny before my father in Heaven.” – Matthew 10:33. The difference it makes is that both of their heads are screwed on right and they have their priorities straight. The Bible also says, “A faithful man will be abound with Blessings.”

    GeminiMind

    @Caden Breier BS.

Lotus Brommel

Congratulations to Ryan and Coach ‘Fluse. I hope you both are the answers we Bears fans have been waiting for. There are high expectations for you.

Welcome to Chicago.

eleab cantu

Love what Ryan Poles says about the”foundation” being the OLine!!! Yesssss!

Eric

I’m hopeful, because after the last ten years as a Bears fan, what else is there to be? They sound like good guys, but so did the last two at first. It really does come down to results on the field, and there’s no way to know that until you see it. I don’t really care much about whether they have experience or not, everyone has to start somewhere. Every Hall of Famer was a rookie at some point. How many experienced coaches/GM’s have you seen have repeated success everywhere they go? Not too many. The first year or two, I’ll measure success not just by wins and losses, but by competitiveness in games. If I can watch Bears games without feeling like they’re beating themselves, or that the outcome isn’t in doubt before halftime, that will show progress.

    Bonehead Wingfield

Yes, every HOF had to start as a rookie, but as a Bears fan, do you really have time to wait for that? Experience was key for this time around especially us having a QB with the highest potential weve ever had. Absolutely no time for this same old story. Scripted and they were masters at dodging important questions by filibustering

TomTsu

Class move by George to mention Les at the start of the press conference.

Daniel Lee

I love that Ryan Poles was nervous and emotional. It shows that this means a lot to him.

    Richard Frasher

    Can’t agree with that
    To me it shows inexperience

Ish

I love when he spoke about how it looks when the WR block on the backside. That will be the player thats not even in the play but its still important.

Alpha Wolf

Flus nailed this interview. Smart, decisive, and conceptual coach. Colts nation is happy he’s gone, but they have no idea he will missed next year.

God N Cowboys

I’ve been a fan of Matt since he was LB coach at Dallas. I look forward to watching him build this team with Ryan. Both seem eager and hope the best for them
