He said he wants to be a Seahawk next year!

    DatPandaDude

    When?

Richard Kosoff

You guys seemed relaxed (not meaning that you didn’t play with effort) but instead of frantically trying to win. Maybe since there was no pressure for the playoffs you guys just went out and played ball?

Richard Kosoff

Hope Penny stays healthy. Maybe he can actually have a career!

    Ramone DeCurta

    Reminds me of Nick Chubb only shiftier. Penny’s greatest asset is his incredible field vision. My question is, can he catch? We haven’t seen him take too many screen passes and the like.

    Ramone DeCurta

    @Matthew Jones : Pete has to show me that he’s ready to fully relinquish the reigns of the offense to Waldron. Do you see how crisp and dynamic the offense looked against Indy, SF and Detroit?

    That was Waldron’s work, and it was like the polar opposite of Pete’s stale run-first approach. I like working off the run, but not the way Pete does it.

    Ramone DeCurta

    @Richard Johnson : The Seahawks spent a #1 on Penny. He’s not going anywhere. He’s a restricted F.A. Seattle can match any offer.

    Richard Johnson

    @Ramone DeCurta yes good I hope they can keep him.

    orurour

    .Next year play P.ford & A.woods on 1st & 4th downs get Danny Shelton & Quinton Jefferson & Justin Hamilton & play B.mone with them on 2nd & 3rd downs, reason D-Line needs fresh legs for pressure?

George Perillo

It seems that the sports writer want to jump on the bandwagon an right Russell off for next year. I hope he stays here his name deserves to be on the ring of honor in the stadium someday next to Matt Hasselbeck.

    Ramone DeCurta

    Hasslebeck’s achievements pale in comparison to Russ’s. Only Steve Largent should be mentioned in the same breath.

    C. Satia

    There’s no way Russ stays with the Hawks… id be shocked

    Ramone DeCurta

    @C. Satia : There’s away Russ stays with the Seahawks. They get him a new HC who can understand and run the kind of offensive system O.C. Shane Waldron coaches.

    Do you notice how much more dynamic they look when Pete keeps his hands out if the offense?

    Keep Waldron. Keep Norton too (he’s a good coordinator). Let Pete leave with dignity. He’s likely wind up with the Raiders.

    C. Satia

    @Ramone DeCurta my only concern is how can you let Pete go when you just signed him to a 5 year extension… Honestly that offense was disgusting even with Shane as OC…. my wish is fire Carrol,Shane and Norton…. they all need to go… Norton isn’t anything special there are better coordinators…Shane offense ignored 2 pro bowl wrs… and Carrol is a lost cause… Go get Kellen Moore from Dallas… he’s#1 on my wishlist… but I still know in my head there’s no way Carroll can leave because of the money and I GUARANTEE you wilson is about to play his last game as a Seahawk this week…

Richard Kosoff

Thanks Russ!! Hope you stay a Seahawk!

epa316

I think he’s staying here. No trade clause, he has so much invested in Seattle… that’s no guarantee of anything, I know, but my feeling is he’ll stay put.

    Mr Nobody

    I think he stays …. But Pete goes …. This union has to breakup

    Richard Johnson

    Nobody will pay up. He is signed. Russ good guy image; so he won’t do deshawn I never play there again.

    Mr Nobody

    There’s always a team willing to take a swing at hall of fame Qbs , of course your can’t get 4 first rounds picks …. But as a Gm and owner you have to do your due diligence and test the market …. Ultimately I think he stays but Pete would have to go along with the Gm and DC …..something isn’t clicking and I could care less about this game vs the lions

    Seattle's 12th Man

    Agreed!🎯💯

    SneakySteve414

    Wilson and Rodgers both love their teams and their communities. They aren’t going anywhere.

TLG Kevin

Yeah he’s not going anywhere. In Russ we trust!!! I love my Seahawks

NorbCam

I have a steak dinner bet that Russell and Pete will both be back next season. I truly believe they will.

    raptorrancher

    Norb, I think you’re paying Daniel and Squabo..but it’s so up in the air.

MrJoshua

Hes a gem.

THE BERGS SHOW

We should give him a contract extension. Make him a hawk 4 life.

    Cat Breath

    Russ takes up too much of the salary cap and he is washed up.

    559_BoutabagZ

    @Cat Breath 1 bad year calm down 😂

    C. Satia

    He wouldn’t sign an extension… he’s done with the Seahawks…I GUARANTEE IT

Seattle's 12th Man

Now,
*That’s the Russell Wilson that I know!*
*GO RW3 2022*

Merlin

Not just a great athlete… A great Human Being!!

    Cat Breath

    Russ takes up too much of the salary cap and he is washed up.

Disney Spook

Love the misdirections, sweeps and using all of our targets! Loved seeing you finding your feet with effective scrambles. Can’t imagine you anywhere else and absolutely hate how the media is circling like sharks ( guess they have to make their salary too🙄). Let’s go be spoilers next week against the Cardinals! GO HAWKS💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚

    Many dynamics at play here:

    Media personnel who want to see Russ in a bigger market winning SB’s for one of the more marquee teams (e.g., the Giants haven’t won in a long time, but they’re the Giants);

    Fans and media wondering just how much Pete Carroll has held back Russ from reaching his true potential;

    Biased fans who don’t like short QB’s. This is baffling to me, because the only number that concerns me is how many wins a QB can bring a team, and Russ brings a lot of wins. Playoff wins are more about preparation and game-coaching than they are anything else;

    Uninformed, casual fans who are still mostly unaware of just how dominant Russ has been in his career, and who wrongly tend to blame him for the SB49 loss;

    Racist fans who never wanted a blaq QB for the Seahawks in the first place;

    Racist fans who see this coming down to a choice between Pete Carroll and Russ, and are inexplicably siding with Pete Carroll, despite his awful NFL record without Russ;

    Trolls who just want to see a change for change’s sake, not realizing that the Seahawks actually have a good foundation for another set of Super Bowl runs right now.

Freddie Jonesy

Great game! Go Hawks!

Becky Rocha

Russ is an amazing person with a big heart ❤️ and an amazing son, dad and an amazing player. He has lost so much yet has gained so much… God Bless him and his famy always!!!

    AMAZING AVIATION

    God Bless Him Wherever He’s Meant To Go!

garyn wrede

He’s a great man

Ted Williams

“On any given Sunday” the Lions tried (the Jets tried, too), the Seahawks were in position to win several more games this season; though, finishing 4th quarters slipped away. Now, go be the spoiler next week, as the Cardinals had done to our Hawks, before. Go Hawks!!

Autumn Skye

After 40 yrs of supporting the Seahawks they best keep Russell or I will become a Mahomie I know like anyone would care but I’ve never enjoyed a QB as much as Russell on and off the field! He means a lot to many of us!!💚💙💚💙 Go Hawks!!💙💚💙

Jason Busch

We had one bad year…no time to panic…key words…find a way… this is still a talented football team…we learn from this season and come back stronger…the easiest thing to do is give up…or we keep fighting

Alex Marshall

I’m as big a Seahawks homer as anyone and even I had my doubts about the chemistry throughout the season, but we’ve seen Waldron’s play calling evolve throughout the season. Wilson definitely hasn’t been 100% (still a really good season statistically) and losing Carson was tough, but this is how this team is supposed to look. The line has been awesome and penny is showing his potential. Still remains to be seen if he can stay healthy for a whole season but if Carson can come back that a hell of a 1-2 punch. Russ is at his best playing off the run and having ball control allows the defense to be opportunistic. If they can beat the Cards next week I think we should feel good going into the offseason. It would be stupid to break this staff and Russ up now.
