@Jay Manning He didn’t “cry” to the public about getting a new contact. His agent who happens to be 90’s Hip-Hop rapper Uncle Luke wife said he should get a contact for his consistent play from 2015-2016. She was the one who went public with it not Freeman. And although he did miss the block in the Superbowl, Kyle Shanahan was the reason for that. All he had to do was run the ball and run the clock out an kick a FG instead he let his pride get in the way and decided to call a pass play.

@Tyler Horton Doesn’t matter we don’t need him to, he’s still only 25 what’s a 1 year 5 million $ deal, he still had 12 td almost 900 yds last year with Goff being a bum and them not playing him as much

Funny enough I’m a die hard Tech fan, but I love this signing! He doesn’t look much on speed, but he’s got the size and strength that Freeman would’ve never had! And that’s what we need, a RB that can busy through the line and GET those short yardage first downs. This also tells me the Falcons are committing to the run game big time!
I’m telling you, with all these moves so far, we are going HEAVY defense in the draft. Bc now, we don’t have to waste a draft pick on a RB! As of right now, the offensive need I see in the draft is possibly a RG, but Mike Gono is going to compete with James Carpenter for that role, so even if we don’t draft a LG/OL-man, then we’re still good!
Plus, with the release of Campbell, here’s how I see the draft if we stay put and don’t trade up or down:
1st round-LB or DT
2nd round-CB
3rd round-DE
4th round-S
4th (from Baltimore) LB or CB
6th round-DE
7th round-maybe a RB or another S
***We sent our 5th rounder and the 2nd rounder we got from NE to the Ravens for Hayden Hurst, but got a 4th rounder BACK. So we have two 4th round picks.
TD and DQ ain’t playing this year, nor can they afford to! Arthur Blank has made it VERY CLEAR….Playoffs or pink slips!
If we can stay healthy, OMG will we be primed for a Super Bowl run this year!!!!
Plus when everyone OUTSIDE of Flowery Branch kept contending we were going to be in “cap he’ll”, that was just the media way if typically dissing on the Falcons, which is something they’ve been doing since our inspection in 1966. The sports world hates us and always will, and we’ll here the 28-3 crap until we win the damn thing….and even then the smart asses will still chant 28-3! To hell with em….I love my Falcons and have since 1978!!!!!
@Falcon 4Life chase young isn’t worth it, and he really wasn’t as impressive the last few games of the season, had we been closer up in the draft maybe but I don’t think trading up to #1 was ever a true option with the holes we have, now we have a great DE with even more room to grow who also plays the run well, a TE who never had a true passing QB, and a former 2x all pro running back who’s still only 25 and on a cheap little 1 year prove it contract, the upside definitely outweighs the risk there, and I believe Oliver and Sheffield will be better this year, we also signed Davidson back so they can always take a cb in the first or go for Chaisson to not only cover the loss of Campbell, but totally upgrade the position as well as adding another great pass rusher, then still have the 2nd and 3rd picks to find 2 more starters, yes now we actually have options it has been a very successful off season if they do nothing else

Todd had 12 TDS last season not fully healthy, Freeman had 2 TDS Total in 2 season’s. Todd is 2 Mill cheaper and no question a better back. Sign me up for the excitement club 😁
End of the day this guy played in 15 games last season he’ll be just fine in this offense
