Was surprised Higgins, OBJ & Landry were on vacation together on an island when Baker was signed & first went to Charlotte. That’s why Higgy wasn’t there for Baker’s first non official intro practice session Sam put together for him & Baker. That was the 1st time Baker had thrown in a group since his Jan surgery. Sure he hoped Higgy could be there to make that more comfortable.
Hope that relationship between them is still strong. I know he said in an interview that he had gotten really close to Landry & OBJ and they had been advising him since the Browns didn’t re-sign him. Higgy did drop balls the few times he played last year. ALL the receivers did tho! Baker was sacked 46x too. It was a bad year. Hopefully it all comes together.

Just look at the Browns passing numbers over the past 3 years…..you’ll find what your missing lol If you wasnt a TE or a RB you basically wasnt eating all like that in the offense, especially being behind Odell and Jarvis on the depth chart

@PrettyBoy23 kellen makes a good point, Odell coming in effected his time on the field….also as a browns fan, Stefanski is not it….he has not shown he can perform and make correct calls under pressure, he calls like he has 4 plays in the playbook and is often very easy to pick up on for the other team….atleast he was these past couple years. Stefanski did a terrible job with subbing guys and spreading the ball around, Kellen mentioned the TE’s but honestly they didnt get enough use, Njoku especially

His role has often been limited, but when he gets his opportunity, he’s honestly more consistent and reliable than the guys he was replaced for. He never began a season any higher than as our WR4, but by the end of 2018 and 2020, he was WR2, and Baker’s best target outside of Jarvis Landry. And with Jarvis being primarily a slot guy, Higgins effectively ended both 2018 and 2020 as our top outside guy.

He never had that because for whatever reason, he wasn’t getting targets or he was getting benched for some reason or another, he was one of my favorite players on the Browns. This guy always seems to find the soft spot in the defense, always seem to make a clutch catch when called upon and was always in the end zone more often than not, he just made plays.
