When they signing OBJ back

Stevie Felix

Wait, what about when they were in Cleveland in 1945 and Los Angeles in 1951; they won an NFL Championship during that time so technically it should be four all together, right?

    Gushto

@Stevie Felix before the NFL and afl merged. Once they merged they created the superbowl. The winner of now nfc and afc. It’s not recognized for those reasons

    Stevie Felix

@Gushto , still, it should technically be four NFL Championships.

    Lazy Eddie

Seems weird that the name of the team isn’t on the banner. It’s like they didn’t want “st louis” on the banner. Makes it seem like both are “LA” based titles

    Gushto

@Stevie Felix NFL championships is not thing

    Stevie Felix

@Gushto , it should still count.

Ricardo Masvidal

I hate that they cut the part out of tv when the Rams were running onto the field. Commercials were more important I guess

Terrible loss for the Rams. But seeing the banner on TV was still worth it

Ghetto Blaster Productions

Nobody but Kupp came to play today. Embarrassing loss.

Lets bounce back next week.

Obj come back 🐏

ASanitationStompOut

Wholesome af watching OBJ lift that Lombardi every time, 2021 indeed was a success.

Lazy Eddie

Its a bit weird they didn’t put the name of the team on the banner. Its like they wanted to acknowledge it but didn’t want “st louis” on there. Lol

    ASanitationStompOut

Different city banner, Patriots spell out their names; Eagles and Bucs, just like us, no names shown, just year and logo

Riley Mundt

I gotta ask, are those banners so cheap that the ’99 banner is already sun damaged after two years, or did they just randomly decide that the ’21 banner should be opaque while the ’99 banner should be partially see-through?

    ASanitationStompOut

Different time, era…Edward Jones Dome never had any openings or bright windows shining in the background like modern stadiums, STLs owner saw the move to LA coming back then, next the organization building a partial see through glass-house stadium, who woulda thought? STL never prepared for a LA return scenerio.

So the fabric was made according to the dark location it was housed in here in STL at the time. Not like see through is visible in the dark

    Riley Mundt

@ASanitationStompOut I just assumed they had new banners made when they moved since they spent three years playing in the LA Coliseum before SoFi was finished.

    ASanitationStompOut

@Riley Mundt That banner is still 22 yr old history, can’t just initially replace or destroy a valuable historical piece of NFL history because of relocating inconvenience…but it would make sense for the franchise to sew/glue or clamp a shaded blue cover on the back end of 99’s banner, could possibly make it impossible to see through again, even match ’21s banner

    Corey Levine

Is the 1951 banner is still at Tom Bergin pub and where the 1945 banner
