I LOVED Tyler Higbee when he came out, thought he was a draft steal due to his pre-draft fight removing him off many team’s draft boards. He was considered the #1 TE coming out in his class ahead of even Hunter Henry. That said, I’m still glad he’s a Ram but I’m a little disappointed in his play. Yes, he had that awesome second half in 2018 but the Rams don’t place as high a premium on the position as team’s like SF & KC. When he does catch the ball and starts running with it, my observation is he goes down way too easily. He doesn’t break tackles ala a Mark Bavarro type, and he isn’t shifty enough to make defenders miss tackles ala Kittle or Kelce. He’s a down by initial contact type. We’re still lucky to have him but that makes him a cut candidate IF the Rams have to find money to sign someone else perhaps someone like OBJ.
