Honestly I’m more disappointed in this game than when we lost to the browns in the playoffs last year just a absolute ridiculous game to sit through vs a fucking 0-8 team crazy

    2cents Wanted

Yes because there isn’t any context that your leaving it

    Trey Smith

    Agreed some many missed opportunities

Why didn’t we just run the damn ball with Najee at the end of the game 😭😭

    Blake A

@Steelers Nation you need about 15 seconds on the clock at the end of the play to have enough time to get set and snap it. Not a chance you can run a play, set the ball, and spike it. Besides they wanted to get it closer than the 57 yarder it would’ve been and running over to one side might just lose yards. Diontae or Freiermuth need to not fumble the game away.

    Steelers Nation

@Blake A my point was freiermuth’s route was basically the same as a short run play, he got 3 yards and stayed in bounds, even if he didn’t fumble it’s a running clock with however many seconds left, would’ve had the same time either way if u ran it for 3 yards

    Blake A

@Steelers Nation well obviously he’s trying to run out of bounds there

    Steelers Nation

@Blake A ik, it rly just comes down to ya gotta hold onto the ball. Same with Dionte🤷

    D.J. Hogue

@Wicked Sick, Funky Fresh, Roller Coaster Enthusiast False. YPC were great until he had to take a -16 yard rush on a bad snap. And true, considering Najee was drafted in the 1st round and is starting as a rookie and considering most NFL players weren’t drafted in the first round and did not immediately start as rookies, he is well above NFL standard. Although your first opinion was factually and logically incorrect, I do like both of your opinions.

Klusterfuk 67

I like how he said “we thought he gave us a chance to win” he better start using Dwayne instead. We know what Rudolph can do and he sucks lol let someone else shine ✨

    JASMAD999

@Brian Akus Rudolph was responsible for it coming down to that…

    Thomas Macy

No and he’s light years better than Mason.

    sons of liberty

@JASMAD999 Rudolph, a guy who comes in with less than 24hrs notice to start and hasn’t seen the field in a yr. His 30-50 is what you want to bring in as the reason. You just asked this guy, knowing everything I just said, to show up and bust out 50 pass attempts. Absolutely he was rusty, but I’d ask you how many starters this week would have done better?
I didn’t even hit every game, but here are 15qbs out of 12 games this week alone. These 15 or so include Rodgers, Wilson, Brady, Lamar, etc. And out of everyone Rudolph is the ONLY ONE to not be sacked on this list. Lamar was sacked 4x. So look at this list without bias and say, huh, our number 2 stepped in and gave us a hell of a chance and if it weren’t for the rest of the team screwing up, we’d have won this thing. We may have something here after the rust gets shaken off.
    Rudolph 30-50 250yd 1td 1int. Rtg 73, 4 rush 36yds 9ypc
    Lamar 26-43 210yd 1td 1int rtg 73
    9 rush 39yds 4.3ypc
    Mat Ryan- 9-17 120yds 2ints rtg 21
    T. Lawrence 16-35 160yd rtg 59
    Wentz 22-35 180yd rtg 78
    Mayfield 11-21 73yd td int rt 56
    White (nyj)24-44 250yd 4int rt 33
    Goff 14-25 77yd rt 67
    Brady 22-34 250 2td 2int rt70
    Walker (car) 22-29 160yd int rt70
    C.Mccoy 11-22 107yd int rt49
    Herbert 20-34 195 1td 1int rt 78
    T Bridge 22-36 226yd rt 79
    R. Wilson 20-40 161yd int rt 39
    A. Rodgers 23-37 290yd int rt70
Maybe you people should do some thinking before putting stupid comments on here like Haskins is better, dude is trash. How about stop launch snapping the ball over the qb head so he has to jump 8x while the field is bad, or how about stop putting the ball on the ground when your in fg range. How about not letting scrubs run for over 200yds before you get pissed enough to do something about it. How about the 2 fumbles in ot in fg range. How about the sh>t refs that made sh>t up to keep it close. How about the play calling and complete lack of preparation on the coaching staff. You don’t think det watched the chi tape and said we can run? Why wasn’t our d ready to stop it like they did at the end. Why didnt we get the ball to 22 over and over inside the 5. Why didn’t we just let him run to the hash on the last play with 15sec left and spike it. 2x in ot alone boz had a shot at less than 50yd and they fumbled. Oh, this was a team loss from top to practice squad. 2 and 22 busted their asses out there with a gutsy performance. 2 wasn’t perfect but who would be coming off not playing for a yr and finding out your starting in less than 24hrs.

    JASMAD999

@sons of liberty glad Goff on there he dang near got out played by a man who could not get over a 100 pass yards..
He rly couldn’t score multiple tds on that awful lions defense

    Shawn Vanalstyne

@sons of liberty it would not have been a 50 yard field goal. Ar the end it would have bern a 56 yards. Boswell longest at Pittsburgh is 55 yards. Would give him maybe 30 percent chance of making it in the rain

Justin Johnson

Got stuff to work on but I’ll support my boys no matter what

    Quarentino Brown

    Got everything to work on

Brian 3

If Watt is out for long they won’t win without him . He is a huge part of this defense

John William

Wow, a fireable exhibition right there. Same offense as last season. Defense couldn’t figure out this winless Lions offense until the 4th quarter? The drops didnt help, but this game plan on both sides of the ball were alarming.

    Will M-Venom

But AR2 be like, “Nah” 😆😆😆

Bogart89

Are we ready to acknowledge the consistency in the stupid decisions that Tomlin continues to make as the head coach? Like…how can you not make any adjustments whatsoever throughout this game, especially when you see that your team is struggling against a team that has been struggling all season?

    Fred Henry

Just curious what adjustments should we have made?

    Kyle Howarth

He really fucks up on multiple plays throughout each game. They usually do serve to hurt the steelers. What kills me is all the media just loves him and never points out his faults.

    Samhain

@Fred Henry found another Tomlin homer….

The Real

If we were playing any other team, we would have lost really really bad today.
The coaching staff has got to go.
The second possession said it all for the second week in a row.
We just don’t understand the concept of “keeping your foot on the gas pedal”.

Everybody wanted to see Rudolph…now they’re crying for Haskins.
The offensive line did good. But they also got away with a lot of holding calls.
I don’t know what The Rooney’s are doing, but this is starting to look like 1988 all over again.

    Stanley Rossiello

    First Tomlin has to go.

    The Real

    @Stanley Rossiello
    Long shot, my friend.
Unless somebody can dig up some emails.

    Stanley Rossiello

@The Real It would be a PR nightmare for them if they canned him.

    The Real

    @Stanley Rossiello
    Exactly.

GYM HUSTLE

Rudolph was off target all day !! Too high, too low , passes behind , and passes to wide !! Awful performance! Defense played well second half, but cannot over look giving up 200 rush yards n the 1st half.

    cavaleer

I’m not a Steelers fan but I watched a couple of preseason games and wonder why Haskins isn’t playing?

Chris Tafoya

Can’t believe we played like that with the worst team. It’s pretty sad

    Don White

I can, this exactly the type of let down the Steelers do. Right when you think they may turn the corner.

    Chris Tafoya

@Don White yeah your right. They always play like that with the worst teams

Raul Vito

💯 Tomlin football; playing to the level of the competition as always…

    Charlie DeLong

Everybody gives the Steelers their best!

    Brian Orr

@Raul Vito Mason missed a wide open TD from the 4 yard line. That’s not “game plan”. The kid has no arm talent.

    D.J. Hogue

@Raul Vito I would say mediocrity is somewhere between too bad to be below average and not good enough to be above average. There is a lot of room for descriptions other than mediocrity in between “really bad” and “truly great”. Factually, Tomlin is an above average coach. Mediocrity would be a coach of moderate quality and Tomlin is not “truly great”, but he is far from the true definition of mediocrity. Trust me, you’d rather Tomlin over about 95% of all other NFL/college HC options based off of statistics, analysis, and logic; but believe me, we still know there are better options, just very few.

    Reg Fake

@brad He should have had many losing seasons. I believe the talent of players kept that from happening. Hell Big Ben would have absolutely awesome games and many times they would still lose . Tomlin sucks. Even in this game . The Fans wanted him to go for it there in the first quarter and he didn’t. Having no faith in your players is the first sign of a bad leader!

    Brian Orr

@Rowland Buck that lions team has had some really close losses. Took an NFL record FG from the Ravens who are leading the division currently. How quickly everyone forgets

!!!???

*Like I said last week everybody from the Bear’s crying about the Ref’s costing them the game but it happens to the Steeler’s on a weekly basis!!! That BS holding call took a TD off the board & roughing the kicker REALLY LOL in a game like this after knowing the outcome most likely cost them a win instead of the tie!!!*

    Maxobadaxo

YES I KNOW!!!! Every single week, there is a idiotic play call that ruins our game… I agree that the bears had bad calls but the steelers get horrible calls on a weekly basis….

    Jonathan Oviedo

If we win game’s like every other team multiple score we don’t have to worry about the ref . Just to think the eagles score 44 points on the lions smh

Benjamin Dill

Whole receiving core deserves an F I know claypool was out(juju for the season)but what happened to James Washington being a starting caliber player???

    Cesar Blanco

    What about Diontae Johnson?

    Joshua F

He caught a touchdown and played alright, the 2 fumbles killed us

    Benjamin Dill

@Cesar Blanco failed in situation football but at least he didn’t have any miscommunications or false starts this game

Your Dad

“We Play to Win the Game”

Justin Stephens

I do like coach t, but….. We will make the necessary adjustments and learn from this statement and continually never really just winning a game by domination or handly is a problem. I knew going into the game that this is going to be a problem and it’s just sickening to watch. I miss the scowl from coach cower. There was something about the look itself that players wouldn’t miss a tackle and want to go to the sideline…. Now it’s just a learning opportunity…. That never gets learned

David Shaffer

It’s Time to part ways with Mason and get a QB in here

Mind Business

It’s a problem when your safeties are listed as two of the top three tacklers on the team. The sacks are great, but we need the Linebackers (TJ, Highsmith, & Bush) to step-up in the tackling game against the run too.

Eddie Lopéz

Honestly happy with the results of the game. It was a bad weather game with a back up quarterback going against a team fresh off a bye week. Being 0-8 just means they’re just that much more dangerous.

    Trey Smith

They’re more dangerous but their still the lions. This game was nothing to be proud of. Bad play calls, choking under pressure, bad snaps, penalties, fumbles, and everything else. On top of that a couple injuries. The real unsung hero of the game was boz. If we had a bad kicker we would’ve lost the last few games

Wade Marquardt

I have been watching Mason play way back to his college days. He has ALWAYS struggled with a wet ball. Classic game between Sooners with Mayfield and Cowboys. Baker could control the wet 🏈 and Mason could not. Watch the video of that game. OU won game big and Mason looked just like he did on Sunday.
