FACT: The first sports team ever….EVER in all of sports to have an analytics department was our very own DALLAS COWBOYS. It began in 63 when we introduced something called the COMPUTER (IBM) Gil Brandt ran it and then the great Ermal Allen was moved from his coach job to head up the dept of Pro Scout ing. Coach Landry trusted Ermal so much. So you factor Landry’s offensive and defensive schemes and ideas, then his engineering background…Brandt essentially turning major universities and small colleges, Black colleges (Brandt would send them Cowboys gear be and ask for information quarterly on players, feed into the computer which they used 5 traits to breakdown players….so Landry’s coaching…BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL.(unheard of in the NFL) Brandt making colleges large and small our spies essentially and then Ermal breaking down our team but our opponents…..just a few of the reasons every opposing coach said the Cowboys were 10-20 years ahead of the other teams….then factor in our talent….listen, these are the reasons we are still featured on network tv and we have not won anything since 1995 because ALL of that built….20 winning seasons straight…no other NFL team has done that and all of this done when NFL FILMS and football became the national sport kicking out baseball…the late 60’s and 70’s love football meets the golden age if tv…….they knew what they were doing…oh,. then you factor in the TV and PR background… marketing of Tex….cherry in the top the classiest and sexiest cheerleaders….now Jerry and the Triplets….we are still reaping what was begun in the,60’s. I am a lifer Cowboys fan/historian…. born and sadly still living here in Philadelphia. Oh I can tell you this as fact….in Philadelphia/New Jersey and NYC..after the teams that play in the respective states…in Pennsylvania and South NJ after the eagles and Steelers the next team merch/gear you see walking around is America’s Team, The Dallas Cowboys and the same applies for the NY teams and Washington Baltimore it is Cowboys fans everywhere….NOT the Patriots…..not the Broncos ok or Rams or 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys and analytics is a part of it…FACTS. If you can find it, in 1970 Tex Schram was approached by a writer and told him the public really wants a book about how the Cowboys do things and Tex essentially “opened the books….the COWBOYS vault business and the bok is called “The Dallas Cowboys and The NFL” It shocking what was revealed by the Cowboys…..there are friggin plays/formations illustrated. Hell, the Cowboys system of calling plays was done the exact opposite as to how every team in the league called their plays. The book gives you the key words how they called plays in the Landry playbook and in 1970 not many football books were printed. By 1973, year I was born n became a Cowboys fan in 76 age 3, there were 8 books printed on the Cowboys ALONE…. including the first ever team yearbook from the 1973 season (a year we should have won the Super Bowl but injuries and what Duane Thomas (the second coming of Jim Brown) did to us caught up. Duane Thomas the original #33…..he has very good speed but not Dorsett speed but Duane was just as great as Emmitt..him and Calvin Hill (separated his elbow vs the Rams in a playoff win ….) and factor in Walt Garrison and rookie Robert Newhouse..NO TEAM ran the ball like us… Staubauch was by far the best QB in the league……rookie sensations Drew Pearson, Golden Richards, Bob Hayes and very sadly we traded for a HUGE receiver Otto Stowe not being used in Miami was becoming a SUPERSTAR …..until Hill ran over his ankle and broke it in Philly……it never healed properly and essentially retired..we had the best tight end combo in the league….an offensive line just as great as the Great Wall of Dallas……then Doomsday Defense ….that yearbook is priceless. Hell that book from 1970 taught the Flex Defense Landry created and revolutionized the game but no other team taught it because even though explained only Landry could teach it. Seriously check out these old Cowboys books and in YouTube type in 1973 Cowboys and check out the team yearbook video and highlights vs the Broncos…….one if the greatest Cowboys wins if all time….and one of the most viscous hitting games you will EVER SEE. That was the famous game Lilly injured his back and had to retire after 1974 because of it. Also final season of the Great LB Chuck Howley……..he was crack back blocked by the HATED REDSKINS…there will never be a more hated rival than the Redskins…….Coach Allen essentially ordered the hit in Chuck done by Wr Charley Taylor …..the photos of him stretchered off Texas Stadium are heartbreaking…. check this stuff out

Hi guys we need OBJ he adds more swag to our Offense, we would much rather have him with us making one of those freakish catches, than against us doing it, plus he gives CeeDee more competition out there which makes them both better, Sign OBJ…..Go “Cowboys”. ….Rodgers usually play his best games against us, they mad, so our “Cowboys” better not go in there half stepping, we got to be ready……Go “Cowboys”.

I’m with y’all until the Tony Pollard madness. Holy smokes, has there ever been another time in NFL history when one running back was clearly better than the other one but it’s constantly argued that the lesser back deserves more playing time bcuz of pass pro? The “Zeke softens them up” argument got blown up last week when TP produced EVEN MORE in the fourth quarter but nobody in the organization wants to admit it.
